Default +1 for Dom/Maxwell Power

headed down to arlington (about 1.5 hours away) this afternoon to get some help sorting out the issues with my car ....took dom 15 minutes to get the car idling like a champ....also did a street tune and the car pulls much harder now....feels like a completely different car...

and he did it all dirt cheap....showed me around the shop, lots of cool stuff including engine dyno, subaru powered plane!!, and lots of nice cars/engines being built....good stuff....shot the **** for a while too....he'll have AWD dyno in 2-3 weeks too...patio at the shop, lounge upstairs with tv/pool table etc..cool place to hang out

so yeah...give him a shout if you're looking for a tune/engine build...

I guess the best thing is to remember that once it's complete, you'll forget about this whole mess.

He told me the story yesterday, it's a long and complicated one. And one he'll have to fight to get any sort of compensation from the clowns who broke it.

Ya it's a real unlucky chain of events starting with a simple dent in the plastic rear bumper cap from hitting a snowbank coming down from Seymour 3 months ago. To taking into a shop to get it fixed, and it coming out of the shop with blown ring-lands.

And with delays on parts and stuff been coating is been a long and lengthly time away from my baby.

I can't go more into details about the shop and what exactly happened as it's still in legal limbo.

Man that sucks Das, I would completely lose it if that happened. Last time I took my car into a suby dealership it came back with a 4 inch scratch in my door. Got screwed cause they said it was there before I brought it in.

I now inform anyone that take my car that they are not to drive it without my permission and they are not to take it over 5000rpm. I also lie and say I have a GPS installed that I can monitor their speed and location with(why not). I also take down my kilometers and require explanation for any additional on the car. I make myself available to go with them for any "test" drive as well.

I HATE leaving my car in other people's hands but sometimes it's unavoidable. Hopefully you hand their asses to them legally.

that's the great thing about having a specific map for those who you don't want driving your car. In case they are lying to your face, at least they can't take it out Ferris Beuller style.

I will not go with CSS= customer service sucks... I want to go with APS for I want to keep my APS 65mm CAI. Plus you can keep your stock fog lights. BUt I have to sell my other parts before I pick it up.

Here is some more info on there Dyno setup! And yes I'm going to have a valet map with a 3k rev limit! As I don't know why they would ever need any more rev's then that!

All I have to say these guys rock! And the dyno and observation room rocks. Even though my car didn't cooperate ****ing Subaru's! Dom and the boys at Maxwell went far and beyond of what would be expected. It's amazing to feel the pressure and air flow the dyno room produces. It made for some fun with a wasp that was pestering us well we were trouble shooting the Aquamist system.
