Find a professional tuner. It's that simple. If you have to ask what needs to be done then you are in over your head.

where, who did you get this map from?

i would not advise to have the same high boost in lower throttle %.

you need to find a reputable tuner and retune this rom file.

Just the fact that so many important tables are greyed out shows that you haven't touched enough tables to make it safe....

Email me the rom and map and I'll take a look.

Pretty sure he is just using a base map from romraider.com and not tuning it himself, hence the settings in ecuflash.
OP, the link to your log file just goes to the thread with the base map.

Thank you sir, fixed.

Yes, this is a base map that I am DD'ing at the moment VERY gently. I'm not about to risk anything here.

If someone could give some feedback, I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Okay so what "feedback" are you looking for? Are you looking for someone to tell how you to tune? The IAM is 15 when it should be 16. This indicates an issue. Using that intake without verifing your Openloop fueling is another issue. Most intakes require rescaling of the MAF parameters. The ECU is removing a ton of fuel in the "A" range. Read:

The log is up on romraider.

His learned knock is at ~1.0 g/s at crusing RPMs.

This is right when the stock ROM turns on FLKC and FBKC, so there could be some issues below that too. On 91, it's definitely sensitive in that area and the ROM you're using does have some funkiness in the total timing like he smoothed the timing map without concern for the KCA map. Total timing takes funny jumps right where he changes KCA. So it wouldn't surprise me if it's sensitive in some low load areas. High load looks conservative enough on timing to me that it "shouldn't" be knocking.

Sometimes on 91, it just can't take the 40 degrees of AVCS being requested in cruise loads. This is primarily for emissions / EGR, so I'd start by lowering AVCS advance in those cells. It's pretty obvious what I'm talking about if you look in the AVCS map. If that doesn't help, then adjust ignition timing down a little too.

Overall what you're seeing isn't something I'd be overly concerned about. It's being learned around and at these loads shouldn't be doing much in the way of long term damage.

Thank you for your input. I'm a big Megasquirt geek, and I've never worked with Romraider prior to this swap, so bare with me. As far as tuning and familiarity with the software, yes I'm very green and unfamiliar with the system, but I wouldn't say I'm in over my head. I'm very excited to learn.

I'd like to hear more input and what kind of changes you all would suggest. I've never tuned a car with variable valve timing, so it's interesting to know there is a dedicated table for AVCS.

For power tuning of AVCS, it's kind of a pain. It will affect fueling some too, so you need to pick some AVCS map, tune it, then go up / down a few degrees and see if VE improves. Then fine tune the MAF scaling for fueling adjustment. There's a thread on Romraider for how to calculate VE and also a logger definition for adding it to the logging parameters.

In general at WOT it will want lots of advance during spool, this will help engine airflow and get the turbo spooled up fastest, then you'll want to start bringing the advance back as RPM rises. A lot of this depends on turbo, I'm not using the stock turbo, but it's not too far off in ariflow.

Sounds like you really have to know what you're doing - which I do not as far as that is concerned. In due time, though !

I enjoy the feedback, keep it coming !
