http://www.bostonleader.com/florida-...aping-pet-dog/ Just a typical day in Florida. Although on a business trip to that godforsaken state I did once receive a commercial proposition (from a female, no less!) to work as a gigolo. |

Not crazy as in a "break into your house and torture your pets to prove how much I love you" kind of way but in a "rich older Southern belle who does whatever the hell she wants and doesn't give a fig for what anyone says about it" kind of way. I didn't take her offer, but we danced and drank all night. She was a lot of fun and she knew how to scratch a man's ego behind the ears in a Southern belle type way, I'll say that for her. I actually liked her, as a person, although I think she would have been a lot to handle. |

We drove past a C.E.C. today and made jokes about not being in one in 10 yrs.
We went once to another kids B Day party and were stunned/horrified. Older kids would effectively bully, extort, or steal tokens from younger kids. Like waiting until a kid put a token in and then pushing them out of the way. Or tricking the younger kid into putting a token into a game for them by promising a reward. Truly criminal predatory behavior, and it was rampant. I basically had to escort my kid around and be the hired muscle. In many cases it appeared the instigator was dropped off there with no supervision at all. We were there for under 1.5hrs and I saw one of my kids get flattened and trampled by packs of older kids running wild at full speed. Multiple times. My then 2yo son had taken off his shoes to play on some bouncy thing. It quickly became clear the kids on it were far too old/large to be on it and were being way too rough. Less than 30 seconds after he was on it, he got off. I turned to pick up his shoes...which were gone. We checked the lost & found and were told it was unfortunately a very common occurrence that happened a dozen + times a day, every day. We left there giving serious consideration to burning it down as a community service. What an utter ishthole of human filth. |
