2005 Legacy GT mirror fir on the WRX?
I really like the turn signal thing on the mirrors of the new Legacys. Plus i think they have the heated mirror option in them as well. Since i want to stick with OEM as possible, are these a direct swap? i know the heated mirror option has to be nulled out or re-wired out but i mainly want the turn signal stuff Anyone done it?

Just like all of your threads right?
Have you even looked at the 2 cars / styles? Have you see how big the LGT mirrors are? You sure seem to make an awful lot of threads, without doing ANY research for yourself. |

He's right.. those are some big mirrors. I had an 05 Legacy GT Limited and those mirrors were nice, but I on an Impreza they are going to look like you took the mirrors off a Ford F150... they are that BIG! I'm with you though, the features that comes with those mirrors, i.e. integrated turn signals, heated mirrors, are nice, but that is what you get when you get a Legacy...

Well my assumptiong was that the legacy mirrors would fit because of how the mirrors changed from the 02-03 styling to 04-07. The 02-03 is all painted unlike the 05-07 where the bottom porting is left unpainted and looks like a two piece. So i though the legacy used the same mirrors but it just has the LED turn signals on them. Last edited by o2sys; 12-15-2006 at 02:57 PM. |

Morette made covers for the WRX/STI mirrors with intergrated LED lights. I know Subiegal had them on her GC. You can get the heat mirror elements from Subaru, I think Canada got them.
Mirror blinkers http://secure.cartsvr.net/catalogs/c...showprevnext=1 heated mirror thread (yes you can buy them ~$65 per side) http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=308938 Last edited by BurtonCR; 12-15-2006 at 03:10 PM. |

just so that people wondering the same....i just measured a co-workers 05 outback mirrors and here are the results:
05 Outback (same as LGT mirrors w/o blinker) 7 3/4"- Width (side to side) 3 1/4"- Depth (front to back) 5 1/4"- Heigth (top to bottom) 05 9-2x (same as WRX) 7 3/4"- Width 3 1/4"- Depth 4 3/4"- heigth *the holes even match up on the bottom. it would be a direct swap for the most part. I am not sure about the insides but they should def bolt up fine. I will be doing this very soon! |
