Need help finding tune on openecu
I remember finding a tune for jdm long block 9:1 compression ratio on a 02-03 usdm wrx to use for 91 octane on completely stock car.
Does anyone still have this open source tune on hand or can fab one up? OR if i can get away with monitoring knock and pulling timing to compensate for the higher compression ratio for 91 octane? LMK willing to pay for assistance!

Are you using a JDM ecu with it? Do you have AVCS intact in the motor?
From what I have read, JDM 9:1 EJ20 (with JDM stock tune on JDM ecu) has a hard time with 91 octane, pulls timing and whatnot due to requirements of 98 RON. Unless you can find Sunoco 94 octane reliably, you'll need to pull timing from the table. Start with 5 degrees across the board and then start to log and add more in. |
