It hasn't been to bad the last few days. Of course it has been raining.

Good for you Frank! What are you looking for bike wise/price range? I will keep an eye out.

lol... I'm no racer... I'd buy that R7 to gawk at it and ride it on nice Sundays. I know it's sacrelige to not race a bike that was built to be raced, but that one is so clean, it'd be tough to do it. I'd freak out if I threw it down the track... where the hell would you even get parts to fix it!?

If I was going to race, I'd buy a beater SV650 and tear that up.

With a bike like that you are suppose to put it on hardwood floors, in your dining room, while you and your friends smoke fancy cigars and talk about how great it is.

God himself would not ride that bike if he bought it.

I hear ya on the SV650. I would love to have a RS250 or even 125 to race since I have a dedicated streetbike.

We need more dirt in here and less pavement

My 2006 KTM 250 XCW. Colorado, 2008.

I'm planning on a 640 Adventure or 690 Enduro by the end of the year so I can hit the Trans America Trail in the summer of 2011.

Nice! I am waiting for the 100 degree weekends to end so I can hit the dirt again.
Last time we went out I got in 2 hours of riding and I could barley load the bike when I was done.

last race on the V4:

I wish I had recorded the earlier race, it was a freight train of 7-8 of us all turning laptimes within a few tenths of each other. It was a blast!

Brandon, you going to Texas World this weekend or do I have to hunt you down?

Ted, I already caught the video on youtube. It was nice. I think I even put a smart ass comment.

I had to push back the July date. I have a roommate moving out so there are some extra bills along with that. I did get a second set of wheels with rotors. Need to talk to you about gearing and taking the class from Ronnie. I mean I have had one track day but the guys told me to take the advanced class??? I mean I don't know everything yet, didn't wanna miss something but don't want the class to be a waste either.

Anyway me and CBar are going to drive down for the saturday's @ Harris Hill. If registration will ever open. My buddy that wants a DD might come also. Ed gave me a killer price on one. I think he is going to order one in December. He has to sell a truck first. Can't wait to meet you guys and get my suspension set up.

They will gear the advanced class to whatever you need to work on, you won't miss anything. We'll see you at Harris Hill then. You have fun on your liter bike, we'll be tearing it up on the SXVs and RS125s

So no liter bikes at Harris Hill? Well good luck keeping up. Bwhahahahahah

I will trade you for a couple of laps. I would love to track either of those bikes.

One week until the trackday, registration is still open so any TXIC members want to try it out you will not be sorry.

Also plan to work an event in October near the fort worth area and will get a free credit towards another trackday for free.

It's a 96 Bimota. The president of TSBA Fort Worth is the one that owns that bike.

http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/bimota_sb6_1996.php

Even though it is a 96 it is a very very impressive motorcycle. All the body panels are CF, The suspension on it is better than my Ohlins, It has a 1100 GSXR, air cooled motor. The reason these bikes are so good is because the frame is straight from the head stock to the swing arm. That provides the most rigid handling and makes the bike stick. But it also means you have to drop the motor to do anything on it. Hence why no one does it now.

That bike was 35k when it came out btw.......

Jim: Question, what kind of bike is best?

Dwight: That's a ridiculous question.

Jim: False. Bimota.

Dwight: Well that's debatable. There are basically two schools of thought-

Jim: Fact. Bimotas beat other bikes. Bimota, beats, Battlestar Galactica.

Dwight: Bimotas do not-what is going on? What are you doing?

... thanks to 'The Office' for the setup

it was a year or two ago I think... I don't remember exactly, but that exchange just played directly to me when I read the post about the Bimota.

Loves me some Bimotas! (and owing to my stink-wheel nature, the V-Due is my fave, flawed as it may be)

Anything 2 stroke is fine by me.

You can have some of these exotic bikes for cheap right now. I know people buying F4's and Brutale's for like 6 to 8k for almost brand new ones.

Of course you should ride them...... But I would.
