Have a Nice Day? My hood was keyed help me decide my next step

My hood was keyed Friday night outside of my friends house. I did not notice anything untill Yesterday afternoon when I left a friend's apartment to head home after a night of boozing in DC. It was raining all day Saturday so that is why I didn't notice anything that day, but I could see from a good 50 feet away my hood was keyed Sunday afternoon. The thing that sucks about it is that the guy didn't just key in one small spot, no he keyed my car and a friends right in the middle with nice big letters. I have no clue what the dude wrote on my hood but I know something has to be done. I'm not going to drive around with a hood like this.
I guess I just wanted some help from nasioc in suggesting me what you guys think should be my next step.

Here are my ideas.
1. I just got some gloss black vinyl last week because I was going to wrap my roof and side mirrors. Since this happened though, I was thinking about buying more and wrapping my hood and trunk in gloss black Vinyl also.

2. Just go to a good body shop and have them respray the hood. And while its there fix some of the cars other scratches dings and dents.

3. Just use the touch up paint you bought for the other scratches.

Just to let you guys know I am still a College student, yes I have some money to spare but I do not have a lot.

If your insurance covers vandalism, have it repainted. Touch up is gonna make it look worse.

Get the hood repainted. The black vinyl won't look too great, and neither will touch-up paint.

This. Call your insurance agent and email them a couple of pics of the damage. Go get a a couple of estimates and have them faxed to your insurance. They'll prob cut you a check the same day.

holy **** thats awful..I don't care how much I dislike a person, I would NEVER do that to anybody...

I would say repaint the hood or CF hood. I personally don't like too much carbon, just accents, so I'd just get it repainted. Touch up aint doin **** to that unfortunately...what bastard!

Go through insurance, and get it repainted and fenders blended. Black vinyl will look lame, touchup paint will make it look like crap. Even worse than it does already.

What does it say?

Have a Nice Day?

Travolta said best it in Pulp Fiction: "Ya don't f**k with a man's vehicle!" That really sucks... I say get it repainted especially if its covered by insurance. I vote "NO" on the vinyl and touch up ideas.

I'm still trying to figure out what "chapines" means

looks to be just surface scratches but some look deeper, if the scratches are just on the clear coat you could buff it out, but if it broke the clear and actually scratched the base paint color you need to repaint it.

I don't think buffing is going to be enough to get these scratches out.

The only type of CF hood I would really feel like getting would be a RS CF hood. Since I don't have a FMIC thats kind of out of the question

TO be honest something bad happens to my car every year, and it always seems to happen to my car in Northern Virginia. Nothing ever happens to it when I'm back home.

That really sucks man, best of luck to you and I would definitely make the claim against my insurance for this type of vandalism.
