Sorry I was not able to take a video, I felt awkward asking the guy.
Did you end up adding anything to your exhaust system? Just curious because I was trying to add some "rumble" to my Impreza as well.

I mean they all have some rumble, even stock. The EUL headers are like turning the volume up on it...

The inside sound is a little quieter, now that it doesn't point up at the heat shield. I still need to get an outside video of driving, one of these days.

As far as the delete goes, it was the cheap way, but imho it's not hurting anything except some ego. Ya, I'd like a nice shinny or name brand muffler on there, but right now I really don't care.
Did you get that flange made up for your Impreza or is there a place where you can purchase one?

Any muffler shop could do it

just add a flowmaster or magnaflow exhaust can from the axle flange back. It will take away any loud, obnoxious sound. The droning on the highway will be greatly reduced too. Any muffler shop should be able to do that for less than 200 bucks.

Totally agree! And take off the resonator too. That's what I did and it's perfect, not to loud all I need is unequal length header. I got a magnaflow muffler and it has a deep tone.

Did you notice any sort of a performance gain with a new muffler?

Maybe a little on top end but nothing crazy. One thing I noticed was the mpg gotten better.

There's a company in La Center, WA called Nameless Performance and they make some great muffler deletes I wish I would have known about them before I did mine. They also just make a one-off set of headers for the BRZ which is good news considering the similarities of our engines.

I checked out the website but there isnt much for our 2012 impreza. Do you think some parts would be interchangeable with the BRZ and the FB 20 impreza engine?

I think there would be. It's the same engine except for its internals an the fuel injection system.

If this is true, do you plan on doing any engine upgrades to your impreza?

Have you experienced any issues with the rear bumper melting stemming from the exhaust fumes?

I did this 'mod' on my impreza today and I found it was way to loud if I completely took of the muffler completely. What I did was put a washer between the muffler and the pipe. I get no rattles and it still opens it up. Putting 3 washers made it drone way to much so I stayed with 1.

Ya drone central if you don't have a turn down made. Once you put that on as soon as you turn the key you'll notice the difference.

Seems like a lot of people are removing their mufflers now. Can anyone fabricate me a "J" joint?
