Has the ABS/bumpy pavement issue been eliminated on the new Lagacys?
been eliminated on the new Lagacys?
I have a WRX and it happens all the time...I have to expect it every time I brake... I'm in the market for a Legacy (family car) and I really don't want to have to deal with that...

Only time it happened with my new Forester was just after deleivery when the tire presure was too high and dealer did not reset to recomended pressure (door decal). Never a problem after setting tires to recomended pressures.

It stopped happening with my wagon once I ditched the RE92s. There's one section of my daily commute that used to set it off all the time with hard braking.
I'm now running Michelin Arctic Alpins on the stock wheels and 17" Pilot Sport PS2s on the Subaru 5-spoke wheel in the summer. |

The ABS issue with 2002-3 WRXes has not yet been resolved and is still under investigation by NHTSA's Office of Defect Investigation.

I haven't heard any complaints about the new Legacys in that aspect. On my 02 RS I'd notice the ABS once in a while, but after I went to stainless steel brake lines and different tires I never noticed it again.
