I can back up that bags are very nice in terms of comfort over coilovers. You'll loose the "bounce" for the most part and have much easier adjustments.
Here is my ride height on Air Lift.

Car looks good! I'm not sure how many pics I already have of your car for my wallpaper. Makes me want to save up for some air. Friend of mine has air on his Lexus SC300. Says the same thing about the difference between coils and bags.

Just finished the air install on my wagon and my girlfriends sedan this last week. We went with Air Lift Autopilot V2 kits from Bag Riders. My wagon took home 3rd Place JDM at the Fatlace/Slammed Society showcase at Formula D over the weekend

In my opinion, Air Lift Performance suspension for our Subarus has a more comfortable, yet still very comparable ride quality to high-end coil-overs. Obviously you can't compare a $2500+ suspension system to an $800 set of coil-overs. I have my air suspension dialed in to be very firm, but as other users have noted the frequency of an air strut when properly configured is nothing like a coil-over with an incredibly firm spring. I can answer your other question directly: my girlfriend was extremely happy when I switched to air suspension a few years ago. She noticed a big difference in ride quality as a passenger, and for me, I got to keep the firmness that I enjoy when cornering and otherwise spirited driving. Given, I still swerve to avoid speed bumps which she dislikes, the overall ride quality of air ride can be stamped as "girlfriend/wife approved" as far as I am concerned Feel free to PM me directly, or give us a call (802 735 2574) should you have any other questions! Cheers, John |

Stock wheels because Australian police hate my RS's
IMG_0001 by sebastienpeek, on Flickr And this is from the weekend, rolled this height for over 800km and then rolled even lower when I got to my destination. IMG_0005 by sebastienpeek, on Flickr And laid out on the RS's. IMG_0072 by sebastienpeek, on Flickr Need to still notch the front and rear so I can lay frame on my stock wheels. |

Lots of nice rides on here.

What PSI should I be driving at for maximum performance? I have new wheels coming 18x9.5 +40 with the same 275/35 tire and really want to give the bags a shot but I am worried they won't work with a real aggressive tire. |

I've chosen bags over coils and am currently researching the hell out of this.. but not sure if I really want to do the install myself. If anyone knows of a reputable shop in VA, DC, or MD that can do this work properly, this is something I'm willing to drop money on.
