Default JDM 2.0L Keep AVCS or go NON AVCS?

So i have a new set of JDM V& heads and they are AVCS! So should i be looking at retaining the AVCS or ditch it? The cams I'm looking at are Kelford 282-278 and come in both non AVCS and with AVCS! So what should i get?

thx for any advice!

I think the cams are cheaper for the non-AVCS version compared to AVCS cams. Also, tuning can be a pain with AVCS.

I'd say retain it. Would kick butt. V7 heads, they are bigport? Mmmm, nice.

keep the AVCS unless you decide to go to higher lift JUN 272s, then you wont have an option.

no V8 are big ports mine are V7!

Gah. I keep getting conflicting information on when bigport heads were available, some say V7 had bigport, some say V8 were. I do know V7 Spec C and V8 Spec C are bigport.

My V7 head are bigport. by simply measuring and research mine are definitely bigports. my engine didnt come with the engine code sticker on the front cover so i dont know the exact head type that and its been about 4 yrs since ive done the research.so there are such things as v7 bigports. Back to the OP i say keep the avcs.

v7 spec c are big port and all ver 8, but i believe the v7 regular are bigger than both usdm wrx and sti
