Fuuuuuuuu. It's rare . Hard finding things that go with it. That's why I picked black wheels for the winter. I need a female to... "color coordinate "the car.

PBP is one illusive color. It can be dark blue, purple and heck, even black depending on the light. Pretty impressive but I'll take my SWP, thank ya very much.

It's weird that all these PBP owners are convinced that they have a blue car. It's purple. There's really nothing wrong that, but trying to say otherwise is a little bit odd.

This. It would have been the color I'd gotten if the y had made the 11 USDM WRXs in the damned color. I was half tempted to go after that PBP STi I saw at the one dealer though. I should've, oh well.

Yep. I love purple actually. On darker days I wish it looked more purple to me than dark navy blue.

And 100% of what the guy says in the comment under this.

Timeout...

The color is Plasma Blue Pearl. I do not believe Subaru has come to the point where they cannot even name the paint colors correctly.

Now technically... Purple is neither a primary color nor a spectral color. Meaning it will not exist without the mixing of a primary/spectrals. Purple is a variant of the red/blue/violet wave lengths.

Therefore, Purple cannot exist without the presence of Blue. Knowing this, Plasma Blue Pearl is in fact a blue in technical terms. A variant of Blue that can be subjectively viewed by the human eye as Purple(a color variant) in varying light conditions. Now the subjective becomes objective because it's obvious that different lighting conditions alter the wavelengths to be perceived as Purple. Reality is its both blue and/or purple... To say its purple can be deemed correct... To say the car is not blue is technically incorrect.

Game on

I really like the silver but my buddy already had one, so red was the next best thing.

Actually, it's not weird...it's science related to how the eye works. We perceive colors differently and shades of purple/blue are where it is most likely apparent.

I'd like to see a PBP car in person.

it really only looks purple in certain light. it doesn't look purple at all in nightdown fox's pic. I saw one in person that looked very purple and there was one sitting with my car when I picked it up and it looked dark blue

that is not straight purple
this is purple
