Default WTB: 89-94 Suzuki Swift GTi

I need a car to mess around with (another). I want to get a 89-94 Suzuki Swift, install Cultus 4WD drivetrain and turbo it. 1800lbs, 1.3L 4WD baby!

If anyone sees one for sale, please let me know.

Hey Alex, there are plenty of those up here in Vancouver. They're called Chevrolet Turbo Sprints or Pontiac Fireflies but I don't think they have a 4WD drivetrain. I was totally thinking of getting one myself! (that or a 4WD ECVT Justy)

Let me know if you want me to search around here. I could drive it down for ya.

These cars are hard to locate in the bay area. Took me 3 years to find one.

There is another white one always drive around @ bayside business park. You might want to stop him and just jack the car.

I want to stick to Suzuki Swift. Dont want no superflies.

89-94 (95 in Canada) are awesome little cars. 1770lbs, 1.3L DOHC 16 Valvle fast revving motor, 100hp, 87lbs/ft torque (stock). FWD only.

In Japan, Swift is called Cultus and it was available in 4WD. I think FWD US Swifts can be converted to 4WD. But, thats not important.

Also, 1.6L DOHC motors out of "bigger" Suzuki's (4-cyl Vitara, ect) can be swapped in with minor mods. That instantly gives ~30 hp. Now think about it, 1800lbs with 130hp STOCK. Talk about power to weight ratio.

These cars can be easialy turboed and then you are really talking. I am sure that another ~50hp is very easialy gained with the turbo. Then you have a 1800lbs car with 200hp. Haha!

I love it, I want it!!!

SUZUKI!!!!

You might want to stick w/ 89~92 swift, since the 93~94 swift weighs about 150lbs more than the older model.

Another option will be purchasing a non GT(i) Swift or Geo Metro and build it up. The shell should be extremely cheap and easy to get.

Check Swift GT Board I believe someone done a conversion before.

Last, convience me to sell mine.
