Default Start Slow

I would not recommend starting with the 75 shot. The only problem with nitrous is that it is easy to over do it. I was running a 55 shot which ran fine (great even) but spun my stock clutch. I detuned my Zex system using a .028 NOS jet and the clutch holds better. Do you have any fuel ratio or egt gauge(s)? I use Autometer A/F and fuel pressure. I like to see green on the A/F and a healthy jump in pressure (to 60 psi) when on nitrous. Without gauges, I'd start at the 55 shot, listen carefully for det, check the spark plugs for a while, then maybe move up. The 55 is a pretty nice power surge. Oh yeah, use premium gas too.

Once again I punched my 55 shot tonight. I must say...I LOVE that Purple bottle.

Tommorrow I'll try the 65 shot...I do have an egt an AF meter which i monitor very closely...Plugs look good.

Yeah, do your jetting in small increments. I found out last night at Atco Raceway that my car (XT6) DO NOT like 75hp shots of nitrous. It goes TOTALLY lean. Fuel pressure only goes up to 53psi or so when I need it to be up to at least 70 psi. Upgraded fuel pump, 104 Sunoco GT unleaded, and 1 degree colder NGK spark plugs gapped .004 lower than stock were used for safety. Due to me letting off the gas after noticing the lean conditions on my Jumptronix air/fuel ratio meter, the EGT's never had a chance to go over 1400F.

A 55 shot done two weeks ago ran 'ok'. Be careful and good luck!
