Yes, many people are still unaware of my situation...

Anyways, back to rsutton's car. I think this quote does apply quite well:

I think the car probably could have done without getting crashed into, but it served as a catalyst for the new paint so it all worked out in the end.

How do you like the reception with that new antenna compared to stock?

Do you think I picked big enough mid bass drivers?!

I really couldn't tell you either way. Atlanta radio stations are terrible.

Those look beastly! I kinda wish that the doors wouldn't be so prone to rattling so that we could just upgrade the speakers with some more bass rather than going with a sub in the trunk. Btw I love that paint! U need to make an updated video showing it off! I liked the last one

Ok...the audio system is completely installed at this point. To recap, I wanted audiophile grade sound in my car without losing a bit of function. To accomplish this, an Audio Integrations box was used for the hatch and the amps/processors were installed underneath both front seats. That doesn't make for the prettiest "show off" install, but it does get the job done without any sacrifice in the car's interior.

Here is the new layout as it is installed now.

The Pioneer X930BT Source Unit

The Hertz HDP4 (powers Peerless SLS 6.5" Midbasses and JL 8" W3v2) and Power Block

Rockford Fosgate 3.sixty.3 Processor Massive BX4 (powers Scanspeak Discovery 10F 4" midranges and LPG Tweeters)

LPG Aluminum Dome Tweeters and Scanspeak Discovery 10F 4" Midranges in fiberglassed a-pillars covered in black Alcantara by JPM Coachworks

1-1/4" Spacer for Peerless SLS made by friend on DIYMA

Peerless SLS 6.5" Midbasses installed with duct sealant and sealed doors

JL Audio 10" W3v2 Subwoofer in Audio Integrations Box

Rockford Fosgate 3.sixty.3 Controller

Now the fun part...the tuning begins...

Have been subscribed for awhile to this thread but I finally got around to reading the whole thing, I did it all at one time too it was very addicting to read . I didnt see any 6spd swap so that gives me hope for my WRX, Im staying Stg2 OTS and hoping to get over 100k out of the motor and tranny. Looks amazing man, keep it up!

You didn't waste any time since I saw you the other day! Thanks for all the help (for those that don't know I met rsutton for the first time yesterday and on the way up to his area my car developed a leak in the upper rad hose without even batting an eye he made some calls and helped me limp her to Allpro where Brandon came in free of charge and hooked me up with a replacement hose and coolant he even to look at some other items in need of replacement) kudos to both gentlemen for going out of their way on a Saturday to help a fellow Suby owner!

I'm just glad it was an easy fix and we were able to get it taken care of!

Playing with Photoshop some tonight on an image that had really blown out highlights and even darker darks...

Not sure if I like it or not.

That shot really shows the lines of the fender bumper and hood very well.

The stereo install looks fantastic.

I don't suppose you have 10,000 pictures of every single bit you installed plus a complete list of exact cable lengths and parts purchased somewhere, do you? I'm doing an install (at 1/10th the budget, probably) in my hatchback soon and need all the help I can get

I'm assuming that Audio Integrations box is carpeted in black, not charcoal?

Oh ****! Now that I know they fit I'm gonna have to order some SLS's!!

My setup is the same way. Sub in the trunk and cool pillars with amps under the seat. I really thought it would be fun to build a hatch floor amp rack and sub enclosure, but I couldn't feel comfortable without a spare tire.

So do the SLS's thump or what? And where do you run them up to, 300-400Hz or so?

I'm gonna have to go looking around for reviews of the RF processor now as well....

I should have. It would have been easier for me to get classified correctly if I compete. Yes the Audio Integrations box is more blackish.

Yep. They fit! I was going to go the trunk route too but I just haven't had the time. I do like how the car is still 100% functional right now with everything under the seats.

The SLS's are amazing. Right now they are crossed over right around 300. I'll have to double check what the slope is...I don't remember off the top of my head.

It didn't at 392whp/387 ft lbs. I just replaced the clutch to the ACT SSHD because we were already doing everything else.
