Congrats on being the man in that situation.
Chances are his parents bought him the car, and he just got done watching the fast and the furious.

Correct, your turbo back included an aftermarket down pipe, which is the main restriction that is required for "stage 2". He said he only had an axle back, which means he was lying or just really ignorant.

Got a text from my friend.

Him - Sorry about Kyle, I could tell u got mad, I wanna see u guys race tho.

Me - Its ok just had to shake my head. If he wants to race come to the track and we will see real times and get it on paper.

Him - An official race is on the streets, its not the competitions, its not the track, its how really good you are out on the streets.

Him - And u have a hella good start.

Him - Just race him.

I didn't reply but I thought, competition? Isn't that what a race is? Its not the track? Its a straight line... I don't care if I have a good start because my car is faster. I have nothing to prove and if he has something to prove then its under my conditions which is it needs to be legal.

Then his friend sends me a text.

Him - Granny track time 14.2 seconds.

Me - You're off its 15.8

Him - My bad.

Does any kids have brains these days? :shakinghead:

My friend drives a rav4 with a holly bumper and fender flares taped to it. Was I nice car to start with. And yes he does drive like one. Hes been though 2 trannies and its an auto.

His friend drives a silver wingless bugeye with angel eyes and a primered bigger hoodscoop. And yeah he drives like that too.

Well I'll stop. Don't want to be worse than them. A better person would just drop it so I shall.

What grinds my gears is the darn windshield gypies that hang out at the base gas stations.

They "attack" people worse than a group of bums on a bottle of R&R whiskey. My boss has a truck that looks like someone took a bat to the windshield and they still where trying to get him to have a couple chips repaired. Yeah never mind all the spiderweb cracks?!

Yesterday I filled the Elise and one snaggle tooth dude with wicked halitosis came up...
"Oh I bet this is fun doing 250mph to Seward huh... argh harrr harr harr" So does it have a pull start? Argh harr harr harrr. Really? Go back to your little tent and stop huffing the windshield glue PLEASE!

Couple months ago one of them tried force me not to put diesel in my TDI Jetta "There's no way a CAR can take diesel, you will ruin that motor", then scuffed the crap out of my tailights with a dirty rag.

AND their "free" chip repair is NOT free BTW. They try and bill your insurance!

WGMG:

People that speed up in the 3rd lane when Benson becomes Northern Lights eastbound and try to merge into the middle lane just before the Lake Otis right-turn-only lane.

I saw this silver Jeep Liberty try to pull up next to me to overtake me from the right-most lane, so I downshifted and paced him until he hit his brakes and got behind me, then merged to the left lane. He wound up catching lights and losin me since that lane was slower.

I don't believe in karma or chi, but if I did that guy got what he deserved.

As far as installing it yourself, Youtube that shiz.

I hadn't been at the mall (5th Ave) for well over a year or more. I went on Saturday and stumbled upon the Apple Store over there in the corner... I was to scared to go in. It's like a stripped-down, one-product Best Buy! Scurry, sons.

It SUPER easy. I can help if ya need.

Took me all of 3 Minutes to do, figured i could write this up for you.

Turn the Device off.
There are 2 screws at the bottom, Either philips or star(depends on devices)

Slide the back cover up and pull off.

There is another screw you have to get on the inside shown here

Once that is undone lift up on the connector.

The battery is now Disconnected. It is held in with some adhisive, lift up on the tab near the center on the side of the battery and it should pop out.

Hope this helps

-Dustin-

Now if only screen replacements for the Samsung i727 go down.. I'd probably venture into replacing the screen on my broken one and giving it my mom so she can ditch the 3Gs iphone she's using now.

How much is a tint job anyway? example 40% all around except the windshield which you can go as far as 70%.

Been discussed recently, but CCA charges $250 for our cars. Ticket is $310, but you only have to remove the fronts. *shrug*

Pretty sure no tint is allowed on the windshield, except for the visor strip which I believe can be as dark as you want.

Actually, when I got my tint ticket up in Anchorage, the cop checked not only my front windows, but the back windows too and made sure to write it on the ticket that I needed all four window tints removed in order to 'clear' the fix it ticket. I took off only the fronts, took it to the station...the female officer walked outside with me and measured the rears and said "Nope, looks like the ticket says you're supposed to remove the back window tint too"

So, the next day I did that. Took it back to the station, and this time it was a different female. I can't remember exactly, but she either didn't even walk outside or she walked outside, glanced at the car from 50 feet away and said I was good to go. Go figure

Make it so the back windows can't roll down and they can't measure the %. That is the reason while there is a law for the back glass it's not ticketable.

They must have restructed the fines as the last one I got a year or two ago was $100. Was almost cheaper to just pay the fine.

found a better site that dumbs down the tint percentages.
http://tintlaws.com/

VA:
No tint past the AS1 on the windshield.
50% tint and front side windows.
35% tint everywhere else.

AK:
no tint past 5" from the top of the windshield.
70% tint on the front windows.
40% tint everywhere else.

Might as well obey the law unless you like paying for tint jobs all the time.

What made me smile.
my home state CT.
35% tint on the SIDES.
ANY% tint on the back window.
No tint past the AS1 on the windshield.

I got pulled over today for tint again. By the same cop. Near my house again.
Said he didn't recognize the car..
But since I've already been cited he can't give me another ticket.

As much as it would suck to reduce the tint on your car you are probably better off doing that. Unless you like having regular chit chats with the popo lol.
