I found on All-data where the connections are, so I am going to check to make sure they are all tight and secure. I doubt the speed sensor needs to be replaced yet, but who knows. Hopefully I'll have it fixed tonight.

Yes, I am just trying to figure out which weekend works best. I'm thinking next weekend might be cool (like ten days from now), but I haven't gotten enough feedback from everyone else to let me know what works best for them...

Sorry Aaron, too busy tonight but thanks for the offer.
Ralph, definitely check the connection on the speed sensor on the transmission, if there's an intermittent bad connection it will cause what you are experiencing, since you have access to shop tools you might want to have a technician hook up an oscilloscope and back probe the sensor while you drive the car, and see if the sensor's output signal gets cut out when the gauge drops off. Let me know if you need a hand with it. |

Mark, thanks for the advice, that is exactly what I was going to check when I got home. I got the All-Data print-out and the location of the speed sensor and it was pretty vague, hopefully I can find it. |

Double check the manual. Although doesn't All-data pull directly from there? And it looks like your front mount makes this easier . |
