Default Another WRX IC sprayer install, with a slight twist.

I've been using the rear window washer pump to spray water on the IC in my '02 WRX wagon for ages. I was using the window washer switch on the stalk to manually spray between autocross runs with the rear wiper motor unplugged. The other day, a friend gave me an IC spray button and timer relay and it got me thinking. I switched out my gauge cluster bulbs to LEDs a while back and was intrigued by the non functioning slot marked "POWER". I knew there had to be something I could do with that. First thought was to hook it up as an overboost warning light and it may end up that way if I ever get around to it. For now though, when the IC is being sprayed I have "POWER"! Why? Why not? It's just a fun mod for my own enjoyment. Truth be told though, the butt dyno tells me it is worth at least as much horsepower as a shocker decal and a jdm air freshener combined!

The regular rear window washer switch is still hooked up but doesn't light up the power light. If I want to use the rear washer, it takes about 30 seconds to unplug the IC sprayer hose and plug in the rear washer hose at the pump. About the only time I ever have a need for it is during the winter when I don't need the IC sprayer anyway. I'm a little disappointed in the very short duration the stock STI timer relay has though, so I've ordered a programmable relay to play around with.

Nice. I had one of these running last year. Worked great for heatsoak prevention and at speed gave the intercooler some more efficiency.

I'm now running water meth injection. Day and night difference
