Something I've been meaning to do for a while but not got around to it.
Made up a little polycarbonate under vent shield for when the weathers bad. Initially the polycarbonate one was to be used as a template for either aluminium or carbon. But since fitted I think this looks quite cool.
Spaced from the vent so still allows heat to escape while protecting the motor from the bulk of rainwater when stationary. The depression created above the vent keeps water out on the move.
Held in with some nice alloy M5 button heads to keep the look neat.

Perfectly made, as per usual.

Did you use rivnuts into the bonnet strengthening bars?

Only the pics I have here.
Most were taken on my DSLR so I have most in high res.
if you have a photo in particular that you like, send me an email and I'll send it over for you

Unfortunately, here in the UK we don't tend to do so much of the professional photoshoots that you guys do over there. So all these photos are my own amateur work.

Loving it. And a little jealous.

I have probably the last Prodrive Tuned Bugeye in the U.S.

Funny looking at your post and seeing how different the Prodrive Kits over here were from the ones over there.

Great work man, and sell me your rear diff skid

As far as selling it.. DONT. I put as much time and effort into my Jeep as you did into this car. I have had it for almost 20 years now. It stays in the garage and only comes out for races and the occasional spin around town.

And I wouldn't trade it for the world

Great thread, really cool custom work and lots of ideas well executed. 5 or 6 years in the making, this is one heck of a car. Great job

Took me forever to read the thread, lol.

Zero traction in 1st gear, hooks up in 2nd.
525bhp pump gas map, no LC or ALS.

Nice to hear it from the outside for a change.

Well after 9 years my cars worn gold wheels of some sort.

It's was time for a change so I took quite a big punt on these. Always anxious of the murdered out black on black look. But I must say, so far I quite like it.
So far I think it makes the car look pretty brutal even when stationary. Also swapped to small stone guards rather than full mudflaps for a less rally look.

I need to get these Goodyears off and my own tyres on, and tempted to change the colour.

What do we think?

RAYS Volk Racing CE28N 18x8, ET44 ltd edition diamond black.

Sorry for the quick phone pics, I'll get out and take some good ones soon as I can.

I'm a man that hates change. Nonetheless, always clean and well sorted out wheel setup Frayz. Can't really go wrong with CE28S. I'm getting to the point of where I want to replace my BBS CH wheels some days to change the look of my car a little bit.

Looks great, missed your updates for sure.

Hey I've got the same calipers and the yellow paint on the caliper face specifically on the letters AP have disappeared for some reason. Perhaps they flaked or burnt off, you ever seen anything like that happen before?

Hmm, not really. The AP calipers are pretty damn hardy. My black has become more grey over time though. I quite fancy a change in colour on the calipers now though. Lol

Frayz, can you talk a little more about these mud flaps and the idea of mounting them so high? And what brand are they?

Great car man. And all of us US guys wish we got the car here in the states that you have in your garage.

The small stone guards I wanted just to protect the immediate paintwork. I wanted the car to look almost as though it wasn't wearing any guards. These little black protectors are universal fitment meaning you have to drill your own holes. But that's good because you can mount them any way you want.

Available here.

Yeah mine are pretty much grey now too. After a couple seasons of trackdays and whatnot

Love the exhaust with the turn down tip. Good stuff keep it up.
