It's been fun!
So, a little late for introductions but I did want to say hey first.
Got my 2008 STi Hatchback a year and a half ago and it's been a blast. Came from an 08 350z. I had never driven or owned a Subaru before and I was definitely won over by the brand. It was a really nice car to own and the Subaru people I dealt with at the dealership or my mountain run acquaintances were really good chaps. That being said, it has been my daily driver the whole time and I've been fighting myself off on modifying it this whole time. Since the '11 bumpers came out, they've really grown on me and I can't stand not having one on my car. However, I really don't want to spend the money on doing that swap so I'm going to stave off my modifying lust and part ways with this car. Anyways, looking forward to owning one again soon! Maybe a GC8 would be a nice plaything that won't break the bank!

Wait, you are giving up owning the STI because you don't have the '11 front bumper?

So I'm guessing you joined just to post a FS ad then?
Arguably the dumbest reason to sell a car. Good luck in your endeavors. |

If the former... Who cares what the front bumper looks like? You're in the car driving and having a blast. But seriously, you're going to lose a boat load of money just because you don't like the bumper? I honestly haven't heard too many dumber plans on this site. |

Last thread was misunderstood
Haha ok I got a lot of flack from the last thread. No I didn't join up just to sell my car. I joined earlier this year when I was looking at parts to buy for my STI. But yeah I need a couple of posts and I didn't want to be fake about it.
Also, i'm not selling JUST because i dont like the front bumper, I said that would be just the start of getting everything else I want. I'm selling because I'm bored with it and I want to get something else naturally aspirated again. To be really happy with the car, I'd want to drop like 5 grand on suspension and stage 2 parts but as I lost my ass modifying a daily before, I'm not doing it again. So im getting rid of it because I'm just not happy with it in stock form. I've got enough other highly modified money pits already. But whatever, call this another fail thread if you guys want, I was just being honest. I said in the previous thread, I'll probably get something cheaper and pick up a GC8 or something with mess with. |

So you start another thread? Replying to your previous one would have been a better choice.

In that case staying quiet about the subject would have been a better choice.

Definitely misunderstood. I guess the part about how you really liked the 2011+ bumpers and can't stand not having one on your car confused me. I didn't realize what you meant was "I want a naturally aspirated car".
I guess I need to learn English a bit better. |

Starting a thread responding to a locked thread is a sure way to win around here.
