Question Diagram for the 2001 RS intake plumbing

I am trying to diagram the plumbing for my 2001 RS. For example, there are like a bunch of resonators attached to the main pipe, and than bunch of wires. I do realize what most of them are and how it all works, but I am trying to figure out if there is anything I can remove. For example, we removed the resonator on my friends 99 RS and that made it sound MUCH more impressive under WOT.

Also, I don't see a need for an intake, if the filter is directly before throttle body, and there is just one big pipe leading towards the front, why not remove all the BS resonators, wouldn't that provide the same power? Oh, well, just a ******* rant

There's not much to it.
You can pull the intake off to the opening to the air plenum.
The reason for the baffles is to reduce the noise from the engine.

I have taken mine off to run track vents on cool days but Its better to have a Ganz or Cobb intake since you won't be sucking in hot air from the engine bay... and that really reduces horsepower.
