I agree that it won't see as much heat, I was on a tangent...I was comparing it to your spark plug cover (you had adhesive issues, but I used the 1080 and not the Di-Noc).

What is an average temperature of the outside of the turbo? The 2007 STi's have a wire harness about 2 inches from the down-pipe without having any problem with coating, or cheap blue tag tape from discoloring or melting off.

I don't foresee the aesthetic advantage of having the vinyl on the heat-shield being so aesthetic pleasing on a long-term application.

^ Tuscan Black, which from what I told, is just a matte black.

Here is a pic in the daylight, the flash from the camera made it look a bit purple in my above post.

You can see that the vinyl is subtle, which I like.

Just read through this whole thread. Going to be taking some of my Christmas/Birthday money to do the hood, roof and trunk. I think it will look great! Sure beats shelling out all that cash for minimal weight savings.

Awesome! Just ordered mine. Do the samples actually have adhesive on them that I could use? I am looking to wrap my fender badges

Did they have a sticky side so you could use them if you wanted to? I was looking to buy a small sheet but if this will work that would be cool.

Just got a call from a 3M Rep. He said the samples were on back order and should be shipping in a couple weeks. I think I will just suck it up and buy the real stuff.

That's why the samples I requested 3ish weeks ago haven't shown up I thought they just didn't want to hand out free stuff to me lol.
