What? GM spent all that time and money developing the CTS wagon and coupe only to drop them a couple of years later? Doesn't smell right to me, maybe the coupe and wagon are just delayed until 2015. If true, way to show your commitment, GM.
Good to see a C7 in the works, and that they're committed to light weight and interior quality. Also good to see the G8 coming back. |

Y'know, I am a little amazed that Gubment Motors still has the Buick line. Who still buys Buicks? Old people? I don't know a single person my age (30's) who owns one.

They're actively trying to change that. You gotta start somewhere. Often, industry politics, perception of the overall General Motors brand, and other factors make it difficult to just sack an entire brand from under their umbrella.
Release better cars, and that will change. People don't hate the name. They hate the cars that wear the name. |

I love the quote of "and GM has set Audi as the benchmark for materials and fits"; what a joke..........Stop talking and do something. Setting Audi as a benchmark? How about trying to hit Hyundai's or Ford's level at this point and then go from there..........

I have stock in GM and I am a loyal GM fan when it comes to US Automakers and I think their new direction is GREAT! The lineups are fresh and I think the growing affinity to buy American will help them out. The few cars i would ditch my Legacy for are all GM's (Camaro, 05 GTO, CTS-V, Silverado Duramax 3500 HD )

Well they lost a customer for life in me, and my family, and my extended family. No reason to by GM when you can buy Ford. That is if your stuck on buying American.

I'm stuck on not buying anything after going to the Auto show on Tuesday night. All GMs seem to have the same steering wheel these days; the Regal, Cruze and Volt looked and felt exactly the same. And they all had windows too tall to rest my elbow on the sill. Only the Transit Connect passed that test.
I can't say I liked Ford much better, though. Everyone has windshields so steeply raked there was a massive amount of glare on the glass. |

The Malibu and Impala look like crap. Nothing from GM that I want outside the Vette and Caddy.

the eff?
I hate that. It's what made the solstice absolutely uncomfortable when i was shopping for a car a couple years ago. I understand the sentiment about the steering wheels, but a lot of companies have that. Maybe a different material for the nicer cars, but since I don't mind the design of the wheel, having the same wheel on multiple cars doesn't bother me. I'm not opposed to commonization, parts bin stuff, as long as the part itself is a decent part. |

If I didn't have a moral objection to buying a product from a government owned enterprise, when the US Government clearly should not be owning any enterprises... with the additional red flag of having on-board surveillance already built in with OwnStar...
The ATS coupe would be interesting. It will also be interesting to see what happens with the C7 Vette. The G8 should come back as a Chevy competitor to the Charger, (perhaps "Chevelle" as another muscle-era coupe turned current-era sedan), and an extended wheelbase version as the Buick variant. China already has the extended wheelbase Zeta sedan as a Buick... it would be easy as pie to sell it here, too. |

I don't see anything there that's going to help them meet the new CAFE standards. I'm sure they've got something planned though.
I'm excited that they're finally going to bring the Corvette interior up to par. Hopefully they'll offer sport seats too, which will address basically the only two concerns anyone ever has with that car. |

for what it's worth, my dad used to love them, so in order in my lifetime, we have had: 80 Regal, 86 Century, 87 Riviera, 88 Riviera, then he moved onto minivans until he got a 95 riviera supercharged. my dad's black. i've always loved that 88 t-type... |
