Should that website be considered as a reliable news source? It doesn't really provide any information other than guesses.

Eh. the true spirit of Honda died off about a decade ago when they killed the Integra line, NSX, S2000. After the way they've been lately, I currently own a 98 Integra Type R, and it is unfortunately my last Honda. I've owned an AP1 S2000, and it was an amazing machine. I doubt Honda can replicate that driving feeling that car delivered with only 240hp.

Ultimate posermobile.
Poser of what, I wonder?
Aren't you just some bitch posing as a soccer mom with her mom mobile?

On a less spammy note I like the old s2k A LOT, but for some reason I am kind of glad Honda stopped making it. I do look forward to the ft1 if that is put into production though

The end of the article says it will hit showrooms in 2017 but the rest of the article refers to it as a 2016 s2k. If it hits in 2017 then it would probably be a 2018.

Facts...you come in here with your logic and FACTS!.......

While I'd like to see a new S2000 I doubt they make one, same with a new RX7 or Supra. The Supra has a chance at production at least.

They broke the FWD record.I won't get my hopes up. It's either vaporware or under performing/over expensive until it gets more info from a reliable source.

Honda has reportedly approved production plans for the rumored S1000, a larger variant of the S660 for global markets.
The export model will be nearly eight inches wider and approximately six inches longer than the S660, with a hardtop and a 'snorkel' air intake on the back of the roof, unnamed sources within Honda's Tochigi research-and-development center have told Motoring.

A diminutive 660cc three-cylinder engine powers the S660 but, as the name implies, the S1000 will receive a 1.0-liter turbocharged VTEC mill. Power will similarly get a boost, allegedly up to 127 horsepower -- twice as many ponies as the kei car. Wider tires are expected to complement the extra power.

The company is also said to be working on an S660 Type R, based on the same platform but free from the constraints of Japan's mini-car segment. In the Type R configuration, the same 660cc powerplant is said to be good for at least 100 horsepower.

Honda has not yet officially confirmed the chatter surrounding the S660 Type R or the S1000, though the latter model is rumored to be on track for arrival sometime next year.

Smells like the site in the OP just posted a click-grabber BS headline because of the word of this thing. They are apparently coming out with a S1000, but I'm not sure who it's even for. I don't really see much of anyone in the North American market giving a damn about it. We're probably gonna get a CTR, or at least a turbo Si of some kind; can't say i care about this S1000 monstrousity unless they beef it up even more for the US market, it needs like 170hp at the absolute bare minimum here.

Also former AP1 owner. What a great car from the factory. Man 15 years is a long time - I'm getting old.

So you're saying that you're intentionally trolling another forum member?

Some of the rules you should probably re-read before continuing on in the manner in which you've been posting since you arrived at NASIOC:

It's different, of course, if you have a rapport with other posters and you're merely joking around with each other. From what I've witnessed you don't bother building a rapport with other members before you begin the personal attacks, trolling and general douchebaggery... or maybe it's just me you failed to build a relationship with.

I think Skunkers is correct. Best Car and motoring are reporting on the S1000 and 660.
