Default Is a bike ride as good as a walk? How long is a safe amount to ride?

I own 4 Pit Bull/Am Bull Dog mixes weighing between 55-85lbs
I have just started taking them for bike rides with me.
We go at a medium pace for about a mile to a mile and a third depending on how tired we get.
I prefer the bike rides over the walks much better and I think they do to.

So, my question is...Is a bike ride as good as a walk and am I giving them to much/not enough exercise?

Cars hurt far more people everyday than pitbulls...do you own one of those?

NOTHING wrong with properly-trained and socialized pits, just lousy owners (that give non-owners the "OMG! It's going to eat my face!" panics).

A buddy of mine has his pitbull pull him on his skateboard for 5 miles every other night. That dog loves the hell out of it. She's a sweet heart too. Really rambunctious, but a sweetheart.

I know a pug named Gordie who routinely runs along on grueling 5-10 mile mountain bike rides.

True story.

Get a skateboard, have them pull you around.
