How'd you come by the credit?

Man, Tires are so important to Subaru driving experiences. A bad set will make it feel like a tercel and a good set, a GTR skyline.

i had a wild adventure trying to get my continentals fitted to a new pair of wheels
- the Drag DR34 needs special, smaller-than-normal lugnuts. tire shops excluding discounttire dont carry special socket or the required "tuner" lugnuts.
- wobbles and imbalance, or perhaps "flat spot" corruption, as overheard in the svc bay

My lesson? Sticky good- yokohama or pirelli softer the better
- go to a tire store located on a highway exit
-
i think they spin balance the tires at a higher mph

subuaru's sensitivity to tires obviously gets amplified at high speed. any issues become really unpleasant companions thru wheel and body structure NVH... spoils the fun.

I've had a pretty good run with these so far, no issues for about 5,000 miles.

As far as the credit from tire rack, I don't know, haha. My father had credit on his account from something and he let me use it.

How hard was it to do the bushings in terms of rusted areas?

I had them installed by a shop when I got the coilovers and tune, but I don't have a lot of rust to begin with.

Ohhh you fancy huh

My rust isn't as bad as I thought. Saw it on a lift for the first time and its really just on body panels and exhaust, but will probably still make life difficult for bushings/ sways

the bushings are awesome. one of the best upgrades. steering is a lot tighter, no clunking. over all it's made the car feel more taut.

Mickey at oswald performance (http://www.oswaldperformance.com) was kind and accommodating enough to make me a hybrid of sorts. I have a wrx wagon that I am turning into a track car and I wanted the best of both worlds with this brace: I wanted the wagon top fitment, since it's a bit narrower, with the breast plate of the sedan, to aid in better load introduction into the chassis.

A lot of people with wagons do not realize this, but we have all the bolt holes, on the rear seat area, that the sedan has, they are just covered by a piece of metal, that needs to be removed.

After that piece is removed on both sides, the sedan breast plate fits without any issues whatsoever.

I haven't actually confirmed this, but I do believe the rear seats fit with the brace.

Installed and ready to go:

It's been a while since I posted mine. I removed the rails last weekend and washed, clay'd, polished, and waxed this weekend. My camera sucks along with my photography skills but nonetheless here it is.
