Default Changing brake fluid???

I'm installing some SS lines and replacing the stock brake fluid with Motul. I boiled my stock fluid so that is why I have to replace it. My question is do you drain all the old brake fluid out...replace the lines...then put new fluid in and bleed the brakes (makes most sense) or do you want to always have some fluid in the master cylinder so as to minimize air in the lines. This would mean there would be some of the old fluid combined with the new fluid. I hope this makes some sense. Thanks.

Usually, you just remove most of the old fluid from the master cylinder reservior with a syringe or turkey baster. Put in new fluid. Then bleed the system. As you bleed the system, you keep adding new fluid to the reservior as the old fluid is pumped out through the bleeders. The ideal is to use a new fluid that's a different color than the old so you can see the color change as it is pumped out.

Don't let the master cylinder go dry.

Change to the SS lines first, get everything hooked up and tight, remove most of the old fluid from the MC with a turkey baster like ITWRX4ME said, then put in the new fluid and bleed the system. Like xfrickx said though, the most important part will be not to let the MC go dry while changing the line or bleeding the system. If that happens you will get air in the MC and it's very hard to get out.
