Gauge Question; worth keeping?
Howdy,
Well, I ordered a Mechanical Auto-Meter oil pressure guage. And for the first time, I didn't really read into how much PSI range I should have. I got a 0-200 psi. So, would it be worth more to keep it and install it? Or Should I just send it back and pick up an Electrical oil-pressure gauge with a range of 0-100 psi? Thanks! Tyler

A.- 0-200 PSI isn't really a good range, 0-100 is more like it.
B.- ditch the mechanical gauge in favor of an electrical one. A mechanical pressure gauge requires the fluid being measured, in this case hot oil, to be piped into the passenger compartment to the back of the gauge. This is potentially dangerous and unnecessary since an electrical gauge is just as accurate. |

Electrical, right?
Autometer stuff doesn't seem to be the greatest quality but it will work. |

Alright
They seem alright for someone with white faced gauges. Or someone who is converting to white faced gauges anyway..
By the way I went with a VDO 150p.s.i. electrical oil gauge. $34 for the gauge, $26 for the sender. |
