i got my 73 VW Bug back recently(its a show car), had the whole car custom painted and they told me 3 months before waxing... I was allowed to wash it though and they said i could use that mcguires spray detailer till the 3 months are up...hopefully that helps, i know you prolly don't wanna wait 3 months but is it worth F'n it up, ya know?

oh dang. If I don't wax the wheels before putting them on the car, it'd be pretty pointless. I was hoping to make them A LOT easier to clean...hmm.

Thanks for input though.

Yeah, you're supposed to wait a really long time before you wax new paint. However since you just rattle-canned em' it's not likely that you're extremely worried about the pure super-professional finish so I say go for it if you're satisfied that the paint is dry enough.

yah, I'm not too worried. I don't even think it'll last that long. I guess I'll make them the guinea pig...it's not like I can't just respray 'em real quick.
