Post OBD on 91-94 turbo Legacy?

Can someone tell me what version OBD a MY93 Legacy turbo is using (if they even had one)?

Thanks.

It's Subaru's version of OBD-I. In order to get codes and whatnot, a Subaru Select-Monitor is needed. I'm not aware of any available PC or PDA software that can read the Subaru ECU.

'90 thru '94 Subaru do not require a scan tool to read codes. There is a good description of the procedure at the MRT website. It is also, of course, described in the Service Manual.

Actually I'm asking so I'll know if universal OBD scanners can read/datalog the ECU activity.

AFAIK there are no universals that work on the early Subarus.

If you come across one, let us know.

I believe that Snap-On makes one, but it's up there in the price bracket.. It'd be a helluvalot better to get a Subaru Select Moniter tho. Its totally catered to your car, and a lot easier to read. I've used them both.
