Yah I didn't see a price. But, I just finished putting on my $30 IC water sprayer, so I should be good for a while.

I like the buttons that you get with the STI one that goes down by your foglight, c/c buttons...

I found a price for it from Martel Brothers, was like $375 for the whole kit.

Yeah, your paying $150 for the buttons and $200 for the STi name, then you have the $30 parts left over that Graham put in his car!

a good suggestion that was given to me was to use water on IC for the street and to use C02 for the track..... YES!... hehehe or maybe just go straight to Co2...

Does anyone know about the effects of freezing temperatures to Co2? any ill effects... i ain't no chemist...

30 dollars... he he... sucker, I'm working on one for under 15 bucks

ill let u know how it goes.

btw, CO2 tanks are generally 100 dollar deposits and 20 dollar fills (at the only place i can think of)... the tank weighs about 50 lbs. I think CO2 cooling is great, but kinda spendy compared to water spraying DIY kits.

The piece being sold on that website isnt really that fancy, and I assume it doenst include the bottle or the selenoid.. im sure most of use are creative enough to make something similiar for cheap.

$375 is too much. At that point I would just rather pay for an N-tercooler nitrous spray system (although it may be a bit more).

Thought I would throw some numbers in the mix, make people feel bad for what they spent...j/k...

I'll tell you what, the price some people charge for stuff today is ridiculous, thank God for DIY.

$15, eh? Not so bad, all junkyard material? My pump was the most expensive part @ $15.00, everthing else was cheap.

There's a guy on the dsm boards that makes CO2 i/c sprayers. his web site is http://www.intercoolertechniques.com/ From talking with him, he can basicly build a coustom spray bar any size you want, so you can have one actualy desiged to fit your i/c not just some generic pos. The guy goes buy TWITCH on either www.DSMtalk.com or www.dsmtuners.com if you want to shoot him some questions

Because, If I'm not mistaken, CO2 doesn't change from a liquid to a gas fast enough for the motor to ignite it...So, it will just be taking up space...Nitrous Oxide changes to a gas as soon as its exposed to the atmosphere, making it very combustible...

No, neither the CO2 or the N2O are actually injected into the engine (in this case). They are both sprayed over the I/C to flash cool it. CO2 is cheaper and noncombustable, N2O is an oxydizer and though it is not flamable if mixed with any kind of fuel (and a very small amount at that) then you will have a nice bonfire under your hood.

You wouldn't want to spray CO2 into the intake, sure you'd get a hell of a cold charge but you'd be displacing O2 with CO2... not the best idea for power

I have been thinking about builing a CO2 ic sprayer when I get my car turboed.

I dont think it would be to hard, the most expensive part would probably be the switch, and seleniod. You could probably just use a purge valve from a nitrous kit, then just get some CO2 bottles from a paintball store, say 2 - 20oz bottles. You could make the sprayer out of some brass tubing from Home depot, with holes drilled in it, and just make that fit the IC.

Zex Purge Valve - $95
20oz bottle - $20

I'd say under $200
