It looks proper in black, and tucked up to the bumper. I'd maybe just custom cut some Aluminum and fit it to the bumper cut-out to resist melting the bumper.

This exhaust has me thinking..

I just installed this on my Forester and boy is this loud! Granted, I'm running a catless downpipe and ported exhaust mani and ported VF43. I was running the stock FXT midpipe and STi axelback, so it was pretty quiet. Anyways, to quiet the droning, I bought a Vibrant 3" resonator and had it welded in, along with having the axelback portion of the piping cut and pushed up and moved the muffler 2" back. This way, no more melting of the bumper and now the muffler piping is next to the rear diff, before it was hanging too low. I knew some fabrication was in order to fit the FXT. Overall, good exhaust for the $$. I love the highly polished SS too!

I installed this yesterday on my STI, and I noticed a burning/heat smell while at a stop after driving for a bit. Its bolted onto the stock downpipe and I used the provided gasket and reused the donut gasket that was on the downpipe if that helps.
However, I absolutely LOVE the way it sounds. Its perfect for what I was looking for. Not overly loud, but just loud and deep enough to get that rumble

I have my JNA CBE mated to my stock DP and Im hearing some weird rattling noises. Its like right under the Ebrake handle. Ive taken a few friends along for a ride in the passenger seat and they all have noticed it coming from under the seat or like right in that area. Anyone else experience this? Could be something else? It started after I installed the CBE so I assume it was the exhaust.
Thanks

Have you taken a look at your hangers? Check under the car to see where the rattle is actually coming from n feel free to PM us so we can help you figure this out.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I figured it out, it was hitting the driveshaft. Im using the kartboy hangers, except for one stock. Theres not much play so its definitely tucked up there, especially with the stock DP. I love this exhaust though!

Default 3 1/2 month update

Before I installed it I scuffed it and painted it flat black with VHT flameproof. I bolted it to the stock DP and used ALL the stock hangers. I have had no leaks, no rattles, and no fitment issues. The tip is far enough away from the bumper so no melting! The paint is not flaking off as I followed the paint instructions and baked the paint to cure it. The sound is awesome and there is no drone at freeway speeds. I love this exhaust!!!!

Just had a rattle start today and found one of the welds in the rear broke, just emailed JNA to see if anything can be done about this but other than this set back the exhaust has been ballsy so far.

Default Jna catback exhaust

I just received my jna catback exhaust. I am completely satisfied and surprised for the price of the quality of the piece. I have always ran turbo xs exhaust on my car, mostly because of the workmanship and quality, this piece is just as good for the price. Plus props to Justin at jna, I got prompt response with my email inquiries, and it was at my door only 2 days after I ordered it. I will definately be buying from them again, I will post how it fits inthe next few days. Thanks again Justin!!

Installed the exhaust this morning, great fit. I have an invidia downpipe and it fits like factory. Has a great sound that is not raspy on the high end like the turbo xs piece. If u do not like the tip close to the bumper I would suggest buying the larger hangers, I did not as mine is already torched from the other. Props jna

That's my car quoted above...it's very tame on a completely stock WRX. I'm sure it will "break in" a little bit within a few weeks and even more so stage 2. Either way I love it!

I only wish the bend by the diff wasn't so extreme...I need something to cover it.

Good to know, yeah it's more of a look thing for me. I plan on going really low and I hope that helps hide the bend...otherwise I will rig something up
