For the emblems I just put painters tape about 1/4 inch away from the emblems all the way around then I tore up magazine pages and covered most of the rear of my car from the spoiler down just to prevent over spray. I did 4 coats and let dry for roughly an hour then peel the tape and as long as your careful it takes off your 1/4 in strip and cuts off around the letter. I used a toothpick to get inside of some of the letters. It really is not hard at all!

How about some eyebrows and taillight masks? (also did my grill)

Haven't seen anyone with this generation do anything like this with the lights yet.

Nothing fancy, just the center console. Pretty close match to the hazard button. Easier to see the color match without the flash though.

Front lip and grill are plastidipped and holding up just fine.

I had this stuff on some dash pieces. It started to chunk off, but I think it was because the guy that did it didnt do enough layers.

I'm tempted to pull the trigger on dipping my 2012 WRX's wheels. Can someone comment on the durability I can expect and how much more difficult it is to keep them clean? Does the dust come off with a standard washing?

Can someone please explain the reasoning for blocking the license plate? Thousands of people a day see it while you are driving, its not your SSN for ****s sake.

It holds up surprisingly well. I've had it on my rear bumper of my truck for about four months and there were only two chips when I touched it up the other day

I did mine several months ago and so far so good. I took it through the car wash yesterday and the wheels held up great. I was afraid that they might be messed up but they came out without a scratch. I wouldn't clean them with a brush but soft materials and water should be fine. (If you want to see what mine look like, I posted number 71 to this forum)

And then? Like i said, the chance of you crossing paths with someone on the roads that wants to look you up are infinitely higher than these forums.

It depends, are you taking the wheel off and coating the inside as well? That's how I did it, I coated both the inside and outside and used about 1 can per wheel (maybe a little more).

Someone earlier asked to see what the fog light surrounds look like plastidipped. Seen quite a few people do this now.

Wasn't sure if dipping the side vents on WRB would also look good, since there's no other matte black trim on the side, and the pieces stick out a bit, so I left them as is. The flexible (EPDM? I can't really remember) vent grille is already black, so that's enough for me.

Putting my Bayson R CS Type-1 replica lip on this weekend, so I'll see how the look goes all together.
