Default stock bov????

This may sound like a stupid question but I have a stock 06 STi and recently I had to change the turbo to a 20g because old one went bad and I've noticed now that I can hear the whooshing sound of a bov, its not loud at all but when radio is off I can hear it inside the car from engine bay. I like that sound of course :P

I'm wondering if its normal maybe bigger turbo does that or if something with the turbo is letting air go loose, I feel power gain from old turbo so I can't really tell if it would be less powerful than what 20g turbo should be or not.
This is my first turbo car so its all new to me from my Integra, help put my mind at ease lol

Do you have a reputable local tuner?

U should know better tho. That's what research is for. So you dont end up relentlessly swiping the visa to fix problems you cause.

True, but like I said its my first turbo car I'm coming from a 94 LS Integra so not a whole lot I actually know and I don't drive the STi much right now so didn't even think about it just wanted something to replace the stock one

The 20g is a fine turbo, but NOT on the stock fuel system, and NOT on the stock tune.

What you need to do, immediately, is go out to your car and run a vacuum line straight from the nipple on the turbo outlet to the wastegate actuator. Do this before ever driving your car again. Once you do this, the car will be safe to drive, but will be slow. Your next task is to find a tuner, and spend roughly $1500 in the necessary supporting mods and a tune in order to safely run that turbo.

Trolling: the act of pretending to be serious on a forum, in order to get an arousal from others.

And because, it's super fun

Still not sure what the whole blown motor deal is, I daily the car and beat on it multiple times a day still good

As far as the whooshing sound, I found that the intake to turbo section wasn't fully tight now no whooshing and feels even stronger
