(Full '07 STi swap with 3" 8cm FP Green, 750cc injectors, APS FMIC, APS 3" Exhaust, TurboXS Uppipe with 44mm EWG, Grimmspeed PnP manifold and crossover pipe, etc.)

A couple days after I got back from Florida it was back down to the Philly area for a small group tune. The last car of the night happened to be owned by Bryan, the founder of TriStateTuners.com.

It was clean 02 WRX that had been completely converted. The longblock is out of an 07 STi. Its completely stock. The car felt great in all honesty, but the numbers shocked the chit out of me when I ran them tonight. I have the data if anyone wants it, as well as the Airboy inputs.

Tomorrow this car leaves for Florida. I'm hoping Bryan will post up when he gets there... With a long list of kills

I don't remember, his build is gorgeous though, it's a big single at least over 6-700hp if I'm not mistaken.

http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/...ad.php?t=46183

His builds are great and innovative in some ways, good threads *tear*

Here are some more photos of my car since that one doesn't show much, haha. This car was actually Top Scoob 006 a ways back so there's an article and complete mod list from that time listed here: http://www.topscoob.com/2008/02/006-...eboi.html#more

Just got into FL and the car has been great, averaged about 23.5 mpg cruising at 75 mph which isn't too bad.

I'm not in these photos but myself and 2 friends did a complete 07 STi transplant into my 03 WRX back in the summer of 07. Every single thing was transferred over.

And not to take away from my Subie or Mikey's tune, but here's the Supra... 67mm turbo, fuel system, all the supporting mods. Shaved and painted engine bay too. Its probably around 575 whp right now on pump gas but honestly I've never had it on a dyno. I'm getting ready to install a ProEFI standalone along with E85 and a beefed up fuel system and then I'll get her on the dyno for tuning, should be able to hit 750whp or more on E85. Its wonderful stuff . Not going to push it much farther than that on the stock short block though.

before the front lip was put on (having sidesirts done right now as well)

thanks, and yes the AVCS is fully functional because the full swap is there... ECU, wiring, and of course the engine. This car is 100% 07 STi, aside from the headlights.

Mikey,
The drive was decent... car had just been detailed and it got filthy, also picked up a new rock chip in the windshield :/. I made it from my house down to Savannah, GA in 15 hours the first day, then wandered from there to Hobe Sound, FL the second day, stopping at a flea market that looked interesting along the way.
I didn't think my cruise control worked for the past few years, but it does! I was pretty psyched about that and it made the drive bearable, although still uncomfortable on my legs and lower back which bother me sometimes.
Where will you be in FL? If you can you should stop by Fuel Injector Clinic... it would be good to show you what we have for Subarus, GTRs, and whatever else you mess with.

maxpowr,
hey man, if i remember correctly you have a pretty sweet ride yourself. thanks for the compliment!

Chad?

The Subaru motor developed a strange noise out of the blue after 60k easy miles on the stock motor so I yanked it out and am slowly tearing it down to determine the cause and the best course of action to rebuild.
Honestly considering going to a smaller turbo, quieter exhaust, and recirc the wastegate... the most fun I ever had in the car was on the stock turbo with instaspool so be honest so I kind of want to reset things a bit and get back to that.

The Supra is better than ever but I've kinda been working quietly on some upgrades there, I'll put it up on the forums eventually but lately I've just been doing my own thing.

Nice ride Bryan. I picked up limited brembos off of you many years ago... I never used them either lol. Your car was nice back then, good to see you still in it. I've been keeping my eye open for an mid-late 90s wagon lately . Would love an 06 motor/07 trans in that

Ah cool... yeah if I could do it all again I'd have done the same swap and mods but in a bugeye wagon, but hey I'm an old guy now so I think wagons are sweet .
I did also consider doing a GC wagon with this swap but would have wanted a MINT one and that just didn't pan out.

I think me and a friend grabbed some sti drive line parts from you a few years ago? If that's the same supra then I remember seeing it sitting on a shelf in a warehouse, half stripped after an engine bay fire or something? Came a longggg way
