Cool

The BMW club costs $35 a year to join and they have some fantastic events which they do allow other makes to participate. Just tell them you want to have a bmw w/ AWD:-)

I think the July 1 event is closed according to their web site.

I signed up for the July 29 street school. Anyone else going?

I was totally planning on it, but haven't gotten medical clearance yet. My doc wants me to wait another 4 months before doing any sort of racing activity...

Post Driving Events

Couple of events coming up in July. I'm not sure which I'll be attending at this point.

Thunderhill is offering both a 'street' school and a 'driving' school. I'm not sure what the driving school is yet. The Street Schools are usually run by the Hale's and are _great_ events to attend if you've never driven on the track.

July 1 - Thunderhill - Driving School
July 9 - Willow Springs - Speed Trial USA
July 29 - Thunderhill - Street School
July 30 - Button Willow - Speed Trial USA

I see both the POC and the BMWCCA have events July 8-9 at ButtonWillow. I don't know if this is an open event or not however.

I'm thinking about going to the July29 street school. It'll be exciting.

Anyone know if there is auto-x this coming weekend? I really want to check it out.

I'm still curious as to what the drivers school is. It looks like it's only one day, so I don't think it's a licensing thing.

The SpeedTrialUSA runs might be worth going to - they attract a pretty heavy import crowd and usually have a couple Skyline GTR's there.

What is the difference between the driver's school and the street school????

Anybody know if there is still availability?

I want to go on the Thailand trip (www.cultcartours.com) next January and need to hone my skills!

I think there are still openings for 7/29. Check their website.

After looking over Thunderhills website (http://www.thunderhill.com) I have come to the conclusion that their calendar is just mismarked. They refer to their street school on July 1 as being full, but the 29th as being open on the front page. Go fig.
