Crazy white VW around ER?
Was driving on the Glenn Saturday night and saw a white Volkswagen sedan...older 80s model...think it was a Fox..it had all kinds of crazy lights all over the roof and two HUGE rally lights on the front with a pushbar.
anyone seen this monstrocity? *edit* obviously the car was white, not silver.

I saw a smallish car like that, not quite sure the manufacturer, but it had two huge lights bolted to the roof of the car.

I think it's a friend of a co-workers car. I'll see if I can dig up some info.

heres your monster. his name is austin and his car is pretty sick. he rallys that thing to death. he has train horns, completly re-done suspension soon to be air, custom intake , push bar but hes putting a custom one on the front and rear soon, 4 hid converted lights which are the ones on top, the rest are soon to be hid, going to have front and rear winches, is going to put a newer jetta engine in it with turbo soon. and thats all of the modifications that i can remember off the top of my head.

Hello Akic
thought i would come say hi and explain the madness of the FOX. My CB is on Channel 5 but it is usually turned down and set to play incoming over the PA
currently on the car: 2300watt remote controlled power inverter, A/C compressor converted to Air compressor, 200psi 5gal system enough to run my air tools, Nathan K5LA horn on the roof along with the Seige Engineering-Hammer 4 up front. 1/2" L beam bolted to 1/2" square tube up front to protect my Lightforces, it had a pipe welded on when i found it on base, stab action along with blunt trauma lol. 102" whip from radio shack for my CB, on the roof i have a 3ft fiberglass antenna(just 4 looks), when it was on my Prelude i put the red L.E.Ds on it. AMPlified 3 speaker Pa system wired to the CB and my deck, 2(50w) speakers on the roof next to the horn and the surviving speaker from the prelude is under the back bumper, same as the roof 2. Dual optima blue top batteries LIGHTS: 240 blitz up front, 140 on the roof (55w 4300k HID). on the sides i have a pair of the $16 amber fogs from walmart and on that same circuit i have a LF 170 aimed to the rear. THINGS TO COME: going to grab a 2.0 from a OBD1 jetta(94-95 ish), a 16v head from a MK2, water/meth injection, K26/GT3071 Dual BB Turbocharger. 034 management, custom intake manifold and exhaust, racing H-beam rods, knifed crank, forged pistons, stage 3+ clutch from 034 motorsports. might have to go with stage 4 or 5. (i was shocked when i found out some 1 made clutches for the Fox.let alone STAGE 5) The list goes on. making a more professional looking snorkel if we can successfully box in the turbo to keep water away from it. going to extend the nose probably 6 inches when we put on the custom bumpers for extra room in the bay (radiator, oil cooler, intercooler) still workin on detailed plans for the front bumper heres what my goal is right now 4 LF140s mounted low for snow/dust/fog 2 3000k 55w and 2 8 or 10000k with some small steel bars for protection maybe add another 240 and have them set back a little, COMPLETELY different headlights i hate these ones. maybe add a couple lights to the roof. have the bumper wrap around the side (always wanted to pit-maneuver some A-Hole). 4500lb winch up front and another in the back just in case i get stuck. full air ride, koni adjustable shocks up front, Shockwave 7000 air over shocks in the rear, Accuair leveling system when everything is situated and in the final resting place ill turn Devin and Jake loose they are good at making everything look clean and sexy. how i drive
and yes i do enjoy cruising well above the speed limit, but 90HP only gets u so far epically with all the stuff on the roof (drag sucks). but hey a 500HP engine may help.
i don't mean to piss any 1 off on the road but it happens if its one of u im sorry lol. |

ok, finished the project and all the little bugs finally, very fun to drive now, compression is somewhere in the mid 11's, and about2-3 degrees advanced timing from max stock adv. made a huge difference and kinda left me wanting even more
