^ This. Same method I used on my wife's car, as well as my STi order. Once 3/4 of the dealers contacted drop out with something like "nope, sounds too good to be true", I know I'm getting close to the end. Also, the dealer with the "guaranteed best price" or "we'll beat any quote by xxx" statements lost in both my cases.

How long is it taking on average for people to get their VON from the dealer? I ordered last Saturday and the most information I have gotten back at this point is "I put your order in."

A VON should be pretty near immediate right?

You may specifically have to ask for the VON. It's not going to do you much good but it's nice to know the dealer actually made the order.

Doesn't it also depend on your dealer. People who ordered at Ramsey did you ever receive a Von?

For us noobs (me), what is SDC?

I'm going to reach out to my dealer to see if they got a VON. I used Nielson Subaru in Portage, Indiana. So far has been a very positive experience and he offered an excellent price.

Just to give those waiting some hope. It all depends on where and what you order. They may find your model already on its way! It took a little less than 6 weeks from the day i placed my order to the day i picked it up.

Although i did just a get a base swp model with 2 options. Ive heard options like nav take much longer

I had the same experience pretty much. The dealership was garbage. They drilled my front bumper when I told them numerous times before the car came, not to,(they gave me an additional $300 off though cause I bitched) they registered my car in the wrong state cause I'm active duty military, and they had no organization whatsoever. But like you said, USAA was great through my whole process as well.

Called the dealer, and got my VON.

Is there a web portal or anything I can check my VON against, or is a call required? He gave me the VON without the Subaru ETA... which concerns me a bit (must be August or something nuts).

Thanks!

Read back a few hundred posted for more details on timing, eta info. You won't get an ETA until your dealer gets a VIN, which (based on this thread) takes about 8-10 weeks.

I know, it sucks... Ordered my wrx limited DGM 5-door at the end of January, dealer says it's allocated for a June delivery. It's been almost 7 wks. Many more to go...

I'm on week 9 today

No updates

Talked to my dealer today. He's been checking frequently for me. This is only the 2nd time I've talked to him since purchasing. I don't want to bug him.

Talked to my dealer today (week 8) and he said he's got another allocation for the last week of this month. I'm hoping my car is in that allocation, or else I'm going to be

My car is in!!! Went to my dealer right from work to check it out, peeled off the plastic and looked it over closely. It'll be detailed tomorrow and I'll pick it up after work. Yes, I'll be sure to post some pics, then again this weekend after I install the pile of goodies that have been waiting.

Love the car! I had a 2006 Legacy GT spec.B before it and the STI seems better in every way (although I loved those brick red seats). It seems stiffer and more comfortable both. I can't wait for the break in period to be over.

I dropped it off today for the clear bra install and I miss it already! There are a couple more photos up on my flickr account, but I probably won't have any good ones until this weekend. The front end looks so great now, I wish I lived in a state with less ridiculous license plate laws!

Wow I had no idea this was going on. I'm feeling really lucky right now. I searched the 3 dealers nearest to me and found a 2013 CBS Sedan. (Even had the SPT exhaust and ST Shifter in it) Drove down there and picked it up for 35K 2 weeks ago.

Also at week 8. No VIN or info either. Hoping to get it in about 4 weeks at the longest.

I'm hoping for the same. My dealer originally told me 13 weeks so I'm hoping I only have another 4-5 weeks.

My dealer has contacted me twice since I ordered, just letting me know that he's keeping an eye on the order. I've only emailed him once to make sure he had a VON. It's appreciated, but I can't wait until he emails me with an ETA!
