Default Doh! Would anyone be willing to let me dual drive their car on Saturday?

I promise I'll be gentle with your car. And like I said, I'll pay your auto-x fee and we can use my race wheels/tires.

Sweet. Thanx dude. Only thing I just remembered, my race tires are 225/50/16's. So they might rub on your car. I also have some very worn Kumho street tires on WRX wheels(from KC) too though, if ya wanna use those instead?

well, I'm more than happy to autox on the tires I currently have on there...but on R-compounds sounds like it would be all that much more fun

yeah, with the prodrive suspension on the car, it sits rather low now, so they may rub. if so, oh well...we'll just use what I have on there...and if you want to put your street tires on for your run, that's fine, too.

Do you have a method of getting to Weymouth? I was planning on being there around 7-7:30

OK. As of right now it's the JGard-mobile, prolly on either my street tires or yours, we can decide there. But thank you for the offer, Pete. What is the rental, btw?

I was just gonna use Mapquest directions to get to Weymouth. I live in Everett, so Im not very far from 93. Which I think goes to Weymouth?

ok, just checking to make sure you have a ride there.

I was told how to get there, but I forget. I think I was told that it's the exit after Route 18, on 3 South. Then there are signs for it there...but I should check the BMW site first...

Yeah. Ive still got my truck I can drive there.

From the BMW site:

Take your favorite way to Route 93 South. South of Boston this road can be identified as Route 93/Route 3/Route 1.
At the Route 93/Route 3 split stay to the left to take Exit 7, Route 3 South, towards Braintree/Cape Cod.
Take Exit 16B. Continue as below.

From Route 3 Exit 16B:

Bear right onto Route 18 south.
Continue on Route 18 South about 5 minutes through 5 lights.
The entrance to the base is on the left at 5th traffic light.
Note that the 5th light is a flashing light and is not always in operation.
The SSTTDC office is first building on right, about 1/4 mile into the site, on a road curve next to an airplane on a pedestal.
Continue past the airplane and the office building.
Follow the main access road obeying the posted speed limits all the way to the end.
Just before reaching the end of the road you will see a large red and white water tower. Continue past the Private Property environmental study sign towards the water tower.
When you reach the end of the road (just past the tower), the light blue blimp hanger will be in front of you.
Please make a 90 degree right turn and travel to the entrance gate for sign in and processing.

Nate... It's exit 16 (the 1st one you come across... can't eremember if it's A or B) off of Rt 3 just 2 exits down from where I met you last month.

Then the entrance to the facility is about 4-5 miles down the road on the left.

I'd offer mine up but I'm still playing with settings.

I won't know what the rental is until I get it tomorrow. Let's hope for something fun.

Nate,
We can carpool to the event if you want. Your only a stones throw away. If you want to put tires in the back of the wagon to bring, we can do that too.

Just let me know what time to swing buy and get you.

That'd be great, Paul. You wanna meet up some night this week for burritos or something?

Maybe we can do that. I am pretty free most evenings. Why don't we try to coordinate with Brendan and go from there. Typically he likes Thursday nights right?

Maybe redobs can make it too?

Well let me know via PM or just start a new thread.

I'll check the directions to the autocross site again and figure out what time I think we should leave. Since your a navigator, I don't expect to get lost.
