Well lets say you want to see inside the window in case you left your cell or something in there. Its gonna be impossible (or at least more difficult at 15%), epecially when the sun isnt shining bright.

Again not attacking you but some people try to argue that huge spoilers are functional on street cars. While again I would argue its form/function.

I guess I can see your points. However, I would think tint is the least common variable when it comes to accidents. What I mean is there's plenty of other factors that play a larger role. I've had plenty of times where a driver has made eye contact with me (or so it appeared) and still cut me off, turned in front of me, etc.

For me, I like the added security darker tint provides, as well as the fact that it better protects the interior and keeps it cooler than lighter tint. I work 10 hour days and my parking lot at work has exactly 0 shade. I park in such a way that the front of the car (windshield) faces the sun in the morning when it's cooler, and the back (where all windows are tinted) faces the sun in the afternoon, when it's the hottest.

As the previous post says, darker tint does make it harder to peer in and see if you left your cell phone, wallet or anything else in, which also makes it harder for passers by to see what they might want to break in and steal.

But seriously, based on that photo it looks good, I have no issues with it. I think it all depends on the lighting and angle. My tint can be really dark or really light from certain angles.

P.S. COLOUR!!!! ;D

I bought a Covercraft sun shade that I'm picking up later this week. I'll post some pictures once I get it.

I understand that being able to see the driver doesn't guarantee that stupid stuff won't happen. But I'll take any advantage I can get when I'm driving.

Every little bit helps when you're trying to be a safe driver. You can never overestimate the stupidity of people.

That's true, but YOUR tint doesn't determine whether or not you can make eye contact with another driver....that is dependent on the tint they have and that is 100% out of your control.

Understood. I'm simply saying that I wish people wouldn't tint their cars so dark that I can't see them.

And I won't tint my car so dark that other drivers can't see me. When someone is about to make some sketchy maneuver, I want him to see me looking at him like this:

Anyone have issues with vertical lines on their rear window tint when wearing polarized sunglasses. Did my tinter install it in the wrong direction?

I'm thinking its, welcome to the world of polarized shades! It has nothing to do with your tint installer doing anything wrong. It's what happens.

Depending on the angle/orientation the effect can be reduced, which is why I asked. It has been suggested that it may be to due the tint not fully drying yet so I guess I'll wait a week or so and report back. I was just curious if anyone had similar issues.

I see that all the time with my sunglasses, perfectly normal (all though I don't know the science behind it). Probably an effect of the safety glass and the factory tint?

I was thinking that, as you sometimes see that bubble/honeycomb effect on the rear windows (w/o tint). I'm hoping it reduces more once the tint dries.

My sun shade was $10 at autozone, but this one looks much better and is custom fit for the impreza.

Looks like its $50 with shipping. And you can choose your color.

it looks a lot like the Subaru one, I'm wondering if they are the original manufacturer.

I bought it for $50 from AutoAnything.com (a US site) and had it shipped to a package holding company in the US. AutoAnything.com actually places a order on your behalf, and it is shipped directly from CoverCraft.

Use can use one of these coupons to get free shipping http://www.retailmenot.com/s/autoanything and possibly additional discount if it does not apply to manufacturer restrictions.
