Swap underway, need sway-bar help…
I’m right in the middle of my WRX swap and found my stock Legacy sway-bar mounts will not work with my v6 cross-member. My turbo cross-member appears to require mounts which use some kind of locking tab & slot with only one bolt as opposed to my stock two bolt clamp style mounts. Is this a WRX mount that I need or something different?
I’m thinking I’ll need both mount and bushings but need to know from what donor vehicle to obtain them… Thanks in advance and all comments appreciated…

Those mounts are the same on all the early Legacies and GC Imprezas. Should be pretty easy to come by at the dealer. I may have a spare set I could sell you. Price them out new at the dealer and then PM me a reasonable offer...

Got some pics...
Here is my v6 sti crossmember sway-bar bracket mounting point: And here is my stock NA crossmember sway-bar bracket mounting point: As you can see the v6 sti crossmember takes a different kind of mounting bracket. Matt: Thanks for the details, I'll looking into the early Legacy's and GC Impreza mounts... |

you should just pick up some WX brackets and maybe sway bar as well....I'm not sure what size your sway bar is but I believe the stock WRX sway bar is 18 mm...This is what I did with my Imprez L swap and everything fits well.

They are the exact same as my rs brackets....which are now on a turbo legacy x member....all you need if you want to re-use your old bar is the new brackets and the appropriately sized bushings for the bar.
