wheel expert needed on balancing
How much weight can you add to a wheel to balance it before it becomes excessive.......and now how about if that wheel was only 12.5 lbs to start with.
-Br I'll post my questionable dilema after I hear back from some of ya

Anything over 5 oz. or so. Not excessive, but means you've got a really bad balance problem.

I have a side question.
When tires have that mark on them for alignment with the valve stem why dont they ever use it? Isnt the mark where the tire is lightened slightly in order to offset the extra weight or was someone pulling my chain? If that is correct then maybe they could remount the tire on the same wheel in a different position and fix the issue? |

What does that mean when 2.5+ ounces needs to be added to a wheel?? Something didnt set right in the process to make the wheel? I'm just down that I have 70 grams slapped to outward part of the rim on already light wheels(what I paid the $$ for)

often the tire is as much to blame...you didn't indicate whether the wheel was balanced by itself, or if the installer rotated the tire on the wheel (just break it down on the machine and spin it, re-inflate it). always put the wheel that took a (relatively) large amount of weight on the right rear...
