I'm def looking for something different. Infinity might end up being the ticket. Might have to build my own wiring harness.

JR's GTR has Cobb's pro software on the stock ECU, not AEM EMS. The stock GTR ECU is really powerful especially with the tranny settings Cobb can access.

That's pretty sweet. I have read the speed density Cobb is pretty nice and smooth operating. Suby wise I mean.

650HP will start to bend rods over time.
The stock GTR Ecu can run SD or MAF based and is very intelligent. You can changes maps on the fly with the Cruise Control too. The GTR makes phenomenal power with minimal bolt-ons and good tuning. JR was supposed to bring the car to Akuma for a number comparo between dynos. We are closed for vacation this week, but I will open up the dyno no problem. He and I will get in touch and then get the car in for pulls and a possible retune. Adrian also has the invite out to him and the Suby if he wants to come, no problem at all. Regards, John |

Aren't they similar to the Evo x as far as the transmission boost control? Has anyone even designed anything for that type of system yet Mike? And AKuma LOL good luck let us know when that never happens. Hey I got a perfect Idea just send him your map locked on an ECU and let him see what it make on his dyno |

LOL.. I left this thread for a minute
I am on a COBB with ProTuner Software on SD, don't plan on ever switching to a syvecs as I haven't seen anything BETTER on the GTR platform then the current COBB stuff, but it does cost 4 times as much. Mike, It was awesome meeting you and great watching you make some passes. ****ty to see the car hit the wall, I am pretty sure I ran a 14sec 1/4 mile after I saw you hit.. lol.. I have been in that situation and know that anything can happen, fire, knocked out driver.. etc.. Cars are replaceable. .. Although after I got my breath I realized the car was barely damaged lol. Thanks for making the drive and hanging out even after words to see me NOT run the number lol, hope to see you more next season! Billy, its the picture angle and the fact that were were cleaning the runners... Mr. 0ver Analyzer lol |

650 seems to be the TQ limit for oem rods before they bend.. Guys have been in the 700-750hp range just keeping the TQ down

Think you may be a little confused, I mentioned to John that maybe I would retune my car on the FTW on his dyno since he is close and I wont have to remove my fwd drive-shaft. |

The syvecs control in the shift points is great, iirc the cobb can't do that.

Honestly for the extra 3-4k it would cost, I can shift the paddles myself Hence why I said it really has nothing that really makes it worth the extra money IMO. |

how much would you gain hp wise disconnecting the driveshaft? Stock ECU's are the ****. Reliable don't need to worry about testing something new that hasn't been tested. Or has secret's kept from the consumer. Plus you have it made the map is already half finished hence why stock ECU tunes cost less. Jr what did you delete the PCV system? Glad it wasn't blow back from to much ignition timing. |

This is what the Boost Control Table looks like. Very simple.

What's ecuteks map resolution? Syvecs is 45x45 afaik. Does ecutek have single cylinder knock control?

Sorry to bump this thread but I just found it. Junior, you mentioned how the ftw maxed out your injectors, how did the afr compare to the previous combo? I certainly don't doubt that the fuel makes more power, just wondering if the tune was a bit leaner and thus more aggressive even with the same boost and timing.

Just a small update. I ended up building the car.
Its on an AMS 3.8 now, but the drive-line is getting shipped away to my buddies in isreal for their 2013 that is currently going 10.3 with bolt on's e85 and on OEM tires lol. Game plan is a full BL1500 build with a 4.1ltr and 3794s Car trapped 146 on 20psi so far, it has been to cold to really hit the track and I have been so busy. |
