I share the same opinion! I have had warranty work done for the scratching and the rattling of the windows. Subies have great performance, but sure do lack in other areas.

Thats japanese cars for you. I have owned Fords, Hondas and Subarus. The fords had good interiors and windows and such but had ****ty engines and drive trains etc. The Hondas and Subarus and ****ty interior but great engines and drive trains. Id take the japanese one over the american ones any day. A lot cheaper to replace the upholstry than it is to replace the whole drivetrain. Now if you could get the two together youd have one helluva car.

fords have crappy engines? drivetrain? drivetrain is way better in a ford than our subarus. they can handle major torque compared to what our 4 bangers put out. i'd take an american car over an import if i wanted a fast drag car but since this is for a daily driver, japanese it is.

When I say crappy engines and drivetrain i mean you are not likely to get it over 100,000. I have a 2001 F150 with 40,000 and the transmission is already acting up. Sure they are good and powerful when they are new, but when they get a few miles on them they become junk. And as far as torque my WRX puts out more torque than my V8 F150, my old V8 Expedition, and my friends 60's mustang with a 350 in it or is it 351 for fords? Whichever my WRX is still better.

Ask any mechanic what car they work on most (broken ones) They will likely answer ford, or more specific, Taurus. The company car is a Taurus, stupid thing won't let the driver in, locked or unlocked!
I hate fords. I have also had the windows replaced on my RS, you'd think they would fix the source of the problem. |
