Looks like a roof gutter? Looks good but how long until someone dents it?

I'm more worried about my, or my passenger's, foot hitting the skirt while getting in/out of the car as has happened to my car many times.

made a grill so i wouldn't have to mount my driving lights on the outside where they could be stolen or smashed up when the wife takes my car

looks like **** up close, but not like i have a car that anyone would ever dare modify (besides me) so i had to make one.

That does look ****ty. Maybe there's a way you can mod that so you can mount the stock grill over it.

I wouldn't worry about lamps being plucked...and if you are, make sure that grill is secured solid. As it stand, it looks like it could be ripped out really easily.

I find the look obnoxious. Clean looking installation and functionality notwithstanding.

Is there a way to use to stock grill frame and attach the mesh to that?

Take a dremel and cut the grill out. Attach the mesh. You can buy mesh at home depot. attach with either hot glue or zip ties. Thats how I would try to do it.

I pinched the small hex mesh in the top grill, and the bottom is just zip tied to the black frame.

i thought about doing just that, but the outback grill is not at all like that impreza grill. something i see everyday needs to look perfect, especially with a bitchy wife who does not want me working on a newish car.
