You might need to take apart your map light assembly and see what you can see. You never know...there may be something up there to work with.

More information on the tablet set up please! I've been interested in doing an Android tablet as a head unit for a while.

Any way to get an AM/FM app?

Interesting, haven't seen too many people put EQs in.

On a related note, I have that same headunit, and it's the worst ****ing thing I've ever used.

I'll be so glad when its gone next week.

Hum, I haven't had too much trouble with it- although I run it to a speaker amp and sub amp (under my seats)- Ipod in the glovebox.

I love the EQ. Use it all the time to adjust midbass and treble, and it's much easier to turn a dial than go into a whole UI on the HU. Plus it boosts my 3v HU pre-out to 7volts.

The iHeart Radio app is a decent alternative to AM/FM radio. Has a lot of radio stations from around the nation. Or you can subscribe to SiriusXM and use their app.

Also very clever. Do you notice any change in GPS signal or satellite acquire? I am not a center pod fan but this might be a good alternative without needing any holes drilled.

Sometimes it takes up to 2, maybe 3 minutes to get the satellite. But that's mostly when you turn it off in one location, and turn it back on a good distance (40+) miles away.

I'd say on average, most times it takes 30 seconds or less. And it almost looks factory depending on how good a job you do.

I really like the roof mounted Garmin! Reminds me of this one I did, was sick of my sunglasses bouncing around the center console...

Volvo sunglass holder, Subaru grab handle

Ground off the brackets and drilled holes a few times before I got the right orientation

Never used the grab handle anyways

uniqueness disclaimer: got the idea from a thread I saw on a Honda board.

3D printed my own badge and mounted it on my front grille.
The badge is a redesign of the vinyl logo that comes on the side of 2003 WRX Club Spec 6's (Limited run available in Australia).

More info here, including how l did it e.c.t:

Quoted because not enough people oohed and ahhed. Stuff like this makes the Subaru community better than any other. My friends, all car enthusiasts, all owning different makes/models, come to Nasioc to get ideas and learn stuff because there's guys doing projects like this.
You deserve more than the probably ridiculous amount of satisfaction you get by seeing that everyday in your car. Well done sir.

Thanks mate much appreciated. Yeh it came out just as i envisaged it to. I have only driven the car once since its been installed but i tell you its amazing seeing the lights turn on when im indicating considering the communication lines are all through the standard subaru clockspring. I cant wait to actually see how it looks when i can actually use it at the track and see the rev lights turn on.

I should hopefully have an in car vid of it at some stage...
