I got a set of autolite from shucks or oriellys and are they pre gapped. I never thought to ask. And if not what should they be gapped at??

There should be a gap setting under the hood on the sticker, or in your manual.

Even if they are pre-gapped it is good routine to always double check. Changing spark plugs isn't something I would try and hasten any further.

Platinum and Iridium plugs should not be regapped, if they must be use exteme care. Do not use a slide type gapping tool. The center electrode is smaller and can be damaged more easily. If you buy the oem type of plug for your car it should come pregapped and will state the gap on the box.

IIRC they are usually pregapped if they have the sleeve over the electrode end

A lot if not all spark plugs these days seem to be pregapped. I haven't gapped a spark plug in a long, long time. The last time I did check gaps, they were spot on too.
