Default Loud click noise when turning on/off headlights

I noticed for the first time today that when I turn on or off my headlights, there's this loud "click" noise coming from just to the right of the glove compartment. I admit I didn't try this out during my test drive, but I don't remember this noise being there before.

I did a search and found this thread: http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...eadlight+click

In that thread, they dismiss it as a normal noise, but I know it wasn't there before. Is this something that can be fixed?

Trust me, it's normal. Mine's done that since day one. I actually removed my glove compartment to find the source of the noise. It's only the light relay clicking.

My WRX has also done that from day one. Perfectly normal.

The control relays for things like the lights and wipers are inside the car and do make a noticeable click. Not quite as loud as my turn signals, but everyone in the car can hear it.
An easy way to check is: engine running, lights off, pull the high-beam flasher, and you should here it as the lights flash on and off.

It is one of the things my salesman showed me specifically when I took delivery He also showed me the parking light switch on the steering column, and how to mute the horn when you activate the alarm. Very practical man AND knows his product
