What's the best you had your Baja up to?

I tried top end today with my 2003 auto trans Baja.

I have a nice long highway where I wind out my cars. Been going there for over 30 years.

Results for the Baja:

a bit over 110 MPH in 3rd gear to redline
shifted to D 4th gear, picked up a few more MPH...a little over 115 MPH looked to be about 117, that was about it, RPM's were around 4500.

If the auto was a 5 speed and the gearing was spaced better considering it pulls to redline in 3rd 4th would probably net 125 ish then, though it would probably take a while to pick up those last few MPH.

I guess about 135mph in my 5-speed turbo, I coulda swore it was closer to 140mph, but Im told there is a electronic limiter at 135mph. Very steady and still pulling strong up to that point.

mine pulled very quickly up to about 132 ish, where im 90% sure the limiter is set... i installed a unichip and sean ( from gpmoto ) said that he made the computer think that i was going 25% slower than actual speed to make my top end higher, but i havent been back to the track yet to test that theory, but it is def faster on the streets!

Default Yikes...

I guess I'm the slow-poke around here...I'm trying to see if I can get 150,000 miles out of my '05. I ain't in that much of a hurry to get there!

Highest my N/A baja got up to (with the I-dont-wanna-die-limiter kicking in from 104) was 130. It took awhile for it to get that high though....
