Default Fuel pump not priming?

Hey guys, I just finished wiring up the fuel pump controller and tried to see if it worked. It didn't prime, but the engine will crank. I don't have my chipped key, as my car is expected to go to the dealer tomorrow to get the key programmed. I was hoping to drive it back from the dealer tomorrow but I won't be able to do so unless I get this issue figured out. Does the immobilizer stop the fuel pump from even priming, or am I facing a wiring issue? This is for my 2007 STI into 1999 RS.

Alright, well my fuel pump wiring looks to be correct. The relay turns on when I turn the key on, and shuts off after a few seconds (like the pump is priming). Also, I am getting a spark when I hook up the multimeter to the plug I just wired up for the fuel pump and then touch a bolt on the chassis for the ground. Aka, there is power going to that wire. The pump is still not priming, what could be wrong?

then you arent getting power to the pump.. or if you are then the pump is dead.

double check your FPC wiring

do you know if the pump itself works? is it a walboro or stock sti? try attaching a 12V+ source and ground to the FP connector itself and see if it starts up, make sure the pump is good. did you ground the FP relay? dunno what else it could be.

The pump itself was working when I had my turbo kit installed on my car. I removed that kit to do my STI swap. As for the ground, I attached the FP ground to the ground on the FP relay, like Brydon stated in his wiring guide.

hmm i followed 99rs's method on his complete wiring guide by grounding the relay on the relay holder screw. I guess I would just check over everything again make sure all your grounds are connected throughout the harness all engine bay grounds..ect, get a test light out and connect it to the FP power and see if it lights up with ignition..

Hmm, so it looks like I'm getting power from the relay, but it's not grounding out. I'll try grounding both the relay and fuel pump controller directly to the chassis and see if that helps at all.

Relay isn't turning on, I may also have blown a fuse. I'll check tomorrow.

i know the ground on the passenger side bulkhead harness under the dash needs to be hooked up for the FP relay to function properly make sure that's attached to the chassis, check your fuses and all your grounds...

I got it to prime! I used chassis grounds instead of electrical grounds for the fuel pump relay and fuel pump controller and it primed as soon as I turned the key! Thanks Sparky and Brydon.
